Do you care for success? Have you ever wondered how your friends, colleagues, neighbors, family and more importantly your self can succeed in this world, and make it to the home for the saints!
In the next several posts, I will share with you what I have found out in the sure word of God. At the very onset, I must point out that our success in this adventure will depend on 4 factors, namely:
1.Our finding time to begin and continue with the search.
2.Our willingness to learn from those who have succeeded.
3.Our humility to trust and exercise faith in the Lord of the universe and our commitment to follow not the teachings of men, but “thus said the Lord.”
4.Our willingness to do away with the status quo mentality, and instead accept to look at things from a different perspective while at the same time avoiding negative attitude such as, “can anything good come out of Nazareth.”
To begin with, we’ll need to hear from one, who alone claims to have all that it takes to be successful.
Proverbs 8:15-18 By me kings reign and rulers make laws that are just, by me princes govern, and all nobles who rule on earth. I love those who love me ,and those who seek me find me. With me are riches and honor, enduring wealth and prosperity.
1 Samuel 2:30 “Therefore the Lord, the God of Israel, declares: ‘ I promised that your house and your father’s house would minister before me forever. But now the Lord declares: ‘Far be it from me! Those who honor I will honor, but those who despise me will be disdained.”
Mathew 6:33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well
Genesis 18:14 Is anything too hard for the Lord?
James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom,he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault…
Hebrews 11:6 And without faith, it’s impossible to please God!
In our next search, we’ll want to hear some testimonies of those who have succeeded.
But, until then, be blessed!

If you ask those who have either succeeded or failed in life, they will tell you openly that one of the major factors, if not the major factor was obedience. As a matter of fact, Biblical archives contain stories that clearly support this notion. Any time the Lord of the universe called someone and stated how He planned to bless that individual and his or her family, God ended attaching obedience to it: Interestingly, whenever God rejected an individual, He did so based on disobedience. Some examples will suffice:
In Genesis 3:10 God asked Adam, “Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?”
Genesis Chapter 39 tells us that the good Lord was with Joseph and not only blessed him but also Pharaoh .The secret was total obedience to that which he had been taught.
In 1 Samuel 15, Saul was rejected as a king of Israel because of disobedience.
Daniel Chapters 1,3 and 6 tell us that Daniel,Shadrack, Meshack and Abdenego, succeeded in a foreign land because they chose to obey the living God rather than human beings.
The book of Jonah tells us that Jonah got himself into serious trouble for choosing to disobey God
In Mathew 7:21 Jesus made obedience as the condition for all those who will make it to the kingdom
In John 14:15 Jesus said,”If you love me, you will obey what I command
You and I have read the Bible enough to know what is right before God. God has no doubt stated clearly what He wants us to do. Today, take a few minutes and ask yourself these question?
1. Is there anything that I know is wrong and yet I continue to do it?
2. Am I doing things according to what the sure word of God is telling me or am I doing it to please my pastor, parents, spouse, or friends!
3.If there are instructions that God gave to be followed as long as we are a live, what makes you think that you can change them?
4.If indeed our success depends on not only knowing but also doing, “thus said the Lord,” what makes you think that you can get away with that?.
What’s more important to you? To listen to God or to listen either to your own imagination or to others?
Well, have a blessed obedient day! Will you?
Just a thought.
