My position on the cut for the Luo has been very clear.

We have lived all along with insults, insults that made The Right Hon Raila be a subject of political insults that the Luo, being un cut, cannot lead Kenya.

We destroyed this mith last year when Kenya voted in Hon Raila as our next president only for those people to steal our victory.

It was hence an insult to the Luo for Hon Raila to propose the same issue that has been a subject of public ridicule to the Luo. As much as we know the culture is never static, the question of circumcission should remain a medical concern to each and every person.

By making it a Luo concern, we are opening ourselves to more public ridicule.

Scientific eveidence in Kenya on the death toll related to HIV/AIDS proves that many more people in Central Kenya have died of the virus than the Luo on Nyanza. When it comes to allocation of financial resources to combat the dreaded desease, Central Kenya has always been allocated the biggest share.

Why could this be so if AIDS only kils thos not cut?

I am prepared to attend and present a petition on behalf of all those progressive forces that will present the case of circumsission being an optional individual initiative rather than an issue being brought upon the Luo as a mater of new culture.

Judy & All Interested Parties,

My 10th great grandfather Ragem, indicates that he might have underrated this circumcision issue. Indeed, the Luo have always been united as a community. That which united us as a people is the same as that which united the Israelites, the Arabs, the Zulu, the Americans and others. Yet it may not be the issue of circumcision alone, because the Luhya, the Kisii, the Mijikenda all circumcise but are not united as a people as we were.

My point is that this issue of circumcision will for the first time ever, divide the Luo needlessly. Pitched on one side, I see the static, straight-jacketed, pro ‘Maintain Status Quo’ Luos. Lets call this group the conservative fundamentalists because they are anti-circumcision idea even for the individual Luos who may want to consider it. On the other side, are the dynamic, flexible, anti-onagi Luos. Lets call this group the liberated democrats because they may not necessarily be for the circumcision idea, but leave it up to the individual family to decide.

My 10th great grandfather Ragem, states: ‘Behold, you did not see Brutus stub Julius, you did not see jolang’o spear the shadow that ended the life of thuon, ratego Luanda Magere. You did not see Oyamo defeat Gor’s bilo, and thus kill Gor Mahia, min jobilo duto. Now I ask you, do you see the machete that is being wielded to be planted on your leaders’ back?”

Therefore I, not my 10th proclaim, Ok unyal! Lets tread softly our daughter, if we rise too early, the dew of life, (read thoo) will soak our feet. Let us not use the names of others to indicate they are on the side of conservative fundamentalists against their own will. some of us contribute greatly to these ommunity organizers. Should we now stop because they are being partisan? Are you saying they are with us only because they are not against us? Whilst, let the laugh of the anti-Onagi sound louder and last the longest. And please, let us not be guided or held back niwach chweko, choke!

My 10th great grandfather Ragem, predicts that after Raila, the Luo will be divided and scattered for 40 years. He also predicts that this will be the end of the jinx that causes leadership eluding the Luo, because Luo strength as a unit is a myth. A Luo will be a stronger leader only inside Jomua. If the next  president is a Luo, he will get more votes elsewhere  and less votes in Luoland, compared to all other  elections. The conservative vs liberal divide is the onset of this structure. What is not clear is who the  new leaders are. Do not be fooled, those outspoken are just patsies. Follow the leaders.

Meanwhile, to all the progressive Luos who are willing to circumcise, you will lose your skin, and a little sensitivity, but that is all. The mangrove tree dwells in the river, but that does not change it into a crocodile. Dead or alive, you will still be Luo, and yes, will still be loved.

To Ya All,
There is no science involved in cutting out the foreskin of a Penis. Neither is there science that Kenyans are dying en mass out of ignorance on failing to face the issue of primary cause of the spread of the HIV virus, which is SEX.

In this modern day world where people still hide behind ignorance and end up finding a thousand and one excuses as to what is ailing them, other than the HIV virus, and while they still engage in sex with multiple sex partners, trying to prove the “African Manhood” (the stronger or the powerful one is he who can sleep with as many beautiful women as his money can afford him) we are  still in for a very long journey. We already know damn too well that in every five women or men one must be carrying a “MDUDU” or has developed it. So why would an individual still be engaged in this “Sports Sex”, knowing damned too well that, by the time he /she runs through  the fifth woman/Man he/she will have been exposed to MDUDU.
As long as we do not change our mindset, then MDUDU is still going to keep sending our men/women to the grave just as propshesied in the book. Deuteronomy 28:20. You shall be rebuked by the father and he shall curse you with desease to ravage you to the grave. Luke 18:20 tells you that you know the commandments. Follow them. It is what wil save you from the wrath of Yah-weh

My take is that the most important thing that we need, is education and or awareness of these circumstances. Stupid habits must go.
Secondly Culture is not stagnant and those Jaluo “Kers” must be amending some of these cultures to be in tandem with the present day life.

As for those who are ignorant and still do not understand the Genesis of Circumcision and “TERO MON”, I would urge you to turn to the Holy Book, which is the History of the Black Man for thousands of Years. I also ask them to tell me Why a JALUO would still practise TERO MON as was commanded in the Bible, but yet refuse to Circumsise as the laws given to Moshe our forefather by Nyasaye otherwords called Yah-weh at got Sinai?

If you are in doubt, then right to me so that I can quote to you the Books and phrases where these are written in the Bible.

Jairus

You are not making sense. Are you cut? And the fact that you worship a white God who demands more tithes that ministry to the soul doesn’t amaze me. We are not stupid and the fact that only 25% of the world population is circumcised seems not make sense to you.

If circumcision was the panacea you know that Swaziland could be having the lowest HIV figures. Tanzania could not be having more Waha, Kuria and Nyamwezi infected more than anybody else. Lets not argue like some semi literate buffoons. If you feel ashamed that your tribe is being chided with circumcision, kill yourself.

  1. Haggai

What we realy need in Nyanza is awareness campaign and easy access to HIV/Aids Test.

Alot of money is being spent organising conferences in hotels, salary and work shops yet the real job is in the field.

so, apart from this “cut issue” what else has our leaders done for the community concerning HIV/Aids
