Raila, Ruto and the Mau saga

Raila, Ruto and the Mau saga

The Mau Saga is taking a life of its own and two things stand out very clear;

The Government Resolve is wanting. I have put resolve with a capital ‘R’ because, the Government is not Raila Odinga alone.

The line ministries that are supposed to be leading from the frontline are those of Environment and Mineral Resources, and Forestry and Wildlife Services. We are seeing very lukewarm support from the Ministry of Environment and Mineral Resources yet we all know how aggressive the Minister is. He is one man who moves with some passion on what the government has made decisions on. From the Ministry of Forestry and Wildlife Services, the Minister is coming in a manner that raises his capacity.

Secondly, we are all witnessing the aggressive approach being mounted by Hon William Ruto and Team Ruto. Their arrogance in dismissing government policy is again aimed at one person; Raila Odinga. And this again begs the question; is Raila Odinga the government?

In the two scenarios, one would want to ask, where does the CEO fall? Is the CEO complicit to Michuki’s low key approach this time around? Is the CEO complicit to lack of capacity from Dr Noah Wekesa? Is the CEO complicit to the bravery with which Ruto and Team Ruto is attacking the person of Raila Odinga? Is the CEO part of this scheme in the unfolding Mau Saga? Has the CEO found in Ruto an able and capable person who can be used to fight Raila?

I was waiting to look at how our political commentators would tackle this issue this weekend, and sadly, they have all gone conventional and refused to address the hard facts. The Mau Saga fundraising offered us some good insights into what is going on and I want to join the Rt Hon Prime Minister in saying that these people are shedding crocodile tears over Mau. They have no interest with Mau, nor do they feel for those people who are leaving Mau. They have all hatred for one; Raila Amolo Odinga. And to them, it is pay back time, ably supported by the CEO.

The Mau Saga has just given these people the platform through which they can attack Raila using the names of the people. They do not have any feelings for the people, for they created Mau, so how can they have feelings?

It is worth noting that in that gathering at the Panafric Hotel, we had leaders who are filthy wealthy; yet, they cannot honestly justify how they became such wealthy. Hon William Ruto is not known to have worked for a decent pay at any place since he came from the University. He worked for 6 months as an untrained teacher, then joined Hon Cyrus Jirongo and others to form the infamous Youth for Kanu 92.

Kenyans know how this outfit ruined our economy.

Then Ruto emerged from it as one wealthy boy who had the capacity to vie for the Eldoret North parliamentary seat. The rest has been history; one scandal after the other and he grows rich by the day. Now, he is man enough to dare all Kenyans on the emotive Mau issue, using the victims as pawn in his power game designs.

But all said and done, can Ruto have the kind of courage he is showing if there in no hidden hand in his design? I doubt it. Can Ruto take on the Prime Minister in such a crude fashion if he is not covered? I again doubt it?

Time has come for Kenyans to look deeper into this problem. Why is the CEO enjoying as the Rt Hon Prime Minister is being hit below the belt? How come the CEO has never come out in open support of the Prime Minister at these trying moments? Is the CEO part of this design to once and for all finish Raila? And will they succeed this time around?

The answer to these questions came immediately after the Panafric Mau Harambee meet. Jimmy Kibaki visited Rift Valley and told his audience that the Ruto schemes have the blessings of the CEO. We knew he was going to deny that, but the good thing is that it had come out. He has since denied what he was caught on camera saying.

The second picture that complicates matters for the CEO is Michuki’s lukewarm support for the Mau evictions despite being an environmental issue directly affecting his ministry. We all know Michuki and how forthright he is normally. He would in his holy righteousness tell us what they discuss with the CEO. His silence and none action is telling us just that.

The third sign was Hon Kiraitu’s body language and mannerisms at the Panafric Mau Harambee. Some things need no further readings.

The last sign is the silence emanating from the CEO himself. The Prime Minister is being bashed for implementing Government decision and he keeps quiet. It speaks volumes.

I was once at home and one of my uncles asked me about the CEO. I said I do not know anything about him, he is so silent. My uncle told me, the man is so silent by the day, but at night, he talks throughout.

I believe him now. They talk about Raila Odinga throughout the night. And Kenyans are watching.

The analysis is not far from the truth. Raila is being set up to look bad. However, the schemers who are already tainted, would end up looking worse than they were.

The average Kenyan is literate and highly informed, and many are wondering why these Moi opharns are ‘shedding crocodile tears’ after squandering the nation dry.

All these people have no conscience but let our people not allow them to deprive the nation of its conscience.

The seeds of the problems in Kenya were being planted when Raila’s father was in the political cold, and watered when Raila was being moved from one detention camp to another, while Ruto, Kalonzo, Jimmy and Cheruiyot were walking in corridors of power, and none of them raised a voice. Why should they now make noise when the problems are being corrected?

HONESTY IS IN SHORT SUPPLY IN KENYA AS SOME LEADERS TAKE KENYANS FOR IDIOTS

Some leaders knowingly commit crimes against the people of Kenya then when they are caught they cry wolf ”Our tribe is being finished!” just as though their tribesmen share in the loot that they shamelessly keep for themselves as they flush it for all to see.

The silence of the CEO and the minister for environment on the eviction of those in Mau Forest is strange but not surprising because what it clearly spells out is the fact that they would love to fell the Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga by not only making him look horrible but also stink worse than any man can. But the consolation is that the CEO and the Minister for Environment are not the only Kenyans with enough substance between their ears.

We know that the two hate Raila Amolo Odinga with a passion as the man who blocked them, leading to their being forced to share power after they rigged the 2007 presidential elections. In view of the above they have no love lost for Agwambo.

When Raila Amolo Odinga and his father Jaramogi Oginga Odinga were fighting for political space, these two considered them as people trying to cut the mugumo tree with a razor blade. They, like William Ruto, saw no evil and heard no evil in the Nyayo government.

Raila Amolo Odinga, in standing firm on Mau Forest Water Tower, is not only saving the water bed for himself personally, but also for Kenya and those countries like Egypt and Sudan, not to mention the countries of the great lakes region, which depend on the life giving mineral, water provided by the Mau water bed.

The game the CEO, the Minister for Environment are playing with one William Ruto is clear. Kenyans are far ahead of these leaders in understanding their schemings.

After the cabinet and Parliament have made a collective decision to evict those people settling in Mau Forest, what should Raila Amolo Odinga do when the line ministers are reluctant to act, while the CEO is stone silent?

The speeches at the fund raising had nothing to do with the Mau evictions since they were singularly directed at the person, one Raila Amolo Odinga.

Realistic Kenyans should not take seriously anything in which the likes of Kalonzo Musyoka, Mutula Kilonzo and Uhuru Kenyatta take active part in, first because these guys never had the honesty to see what was wrong with the Moi government, all of them among other anti-reform leaders never think of the people whenever they act politically. Uhuru Kenyatta cannot feel what the Wanainchi feel because he has never slept on an empty stomach.

Were Uhuru Kenyatta to be wise, he would be not only actively apologizing for the crimes committed by his father, but also sincerely endearing himself to Waninchi, instead of his infamous ”I shall be in the next government whatever happens” swagger to the Kalenjin community at Burnt Forest prior to the 2007 presidential elections.

It is a blessing that the Moi orphans have acted shamelessly for us all to see and block them. They are once again ready to derail not only Wananchi, but also the reforms. Kenyans are now more enlightened than they were during the Nyayo era and will never allow them to do with us whatever they like, as they like it. We have a say in what should indeed happen to us. We are never so gullible anymore.

Let Uhuru Kenyatta not provoke Kenyans any farther, lest we reclaim our land which he illicitly holds on, the land whose acreage is larger than some provinces.

The orphans are indeed not serious by acting as though they never knew in advance that history sweeps away those who are on the wrong side of justice.

Let all honest people support the prime minister in saving the Mau Water Tower, and then help the country achieve just politico-economic changes that will assure posterity of a just clean future. We must stop Uhuru Kenyatta and the other orphans from guaranteeing our grand children the job of washing their children’s nappies for lack of what to do.

The time to make honest changes for posterity is now. Save Mau Water Tower!

Well, no one is reinventing the wheel. The Holy book clearly states a house built on shaky ground will never withstand a storm. ODM party was a well oiled propaganda machine, whose foundation was lies and hatred that Kikuyu’s had taken over the country from the rest of 41 tribes. Chris in Kumekucha helped spread the cancer using the pen. He has since apologised for being used by Raila.

Back to the issue, Raila through his mzungu spin doctor, preached that song, branding Kikuyu’s Kabila Adui and we all know that resulted to the slaughter of 1500 kikuyu’s, blood that is still wet in Raila hands.

Now, his gang for hire have turned the blade that he used to spill the guts of innocent Kikuyu’s onto the fat cellulite belly of their master, one Raila Odinga.

Everything goes full circle and those who invested in sowing seeds of discord will harvest a full measure of hatred and mayhem. You do not sleep with dogs and expect to escape fleas.

The well orchestrated charade of talking unity to the camera while hiring family members and relatives to plum public jobs is soon coming to a grinding halt, with even threats of taking away the PM post that Raila holds, so dear to him, since it has supplied him with VIP toilets, carpets and escort cars.

RIP Raila A. Odinga. Yours will be used as a practical lesson of what goes wrong when one tries to grab leadership by turning brothers against each other. You will surely not be missed beyond bondo and Kibera slums.

As a person, Kenya has been in my heart for years. I have prayed and cried to God to have mercy on us, because sincerely speaking, if not for His mercies, we would long have gone the Rwanda way.

At times I watch the news and ask God, Is there no man, not even one with the spirit of Jehu (2 kings 9:1-10)who will not rest until Kenya is cleansed of her adultery? (read wickedness, oppression and the shedding of innocent blood).

Our God is a merciful God, slow to anger and abounding in Love. But He is also a righteous God, and will never let wickedness go unpunished. I know and I’m completely persuaded that Kenya is the Joseph of Africa, and that God’s purposes concerning Kenya will come to pass.

For those tribalists who go chest thumping and shouting about their might, please Know that there is one God, Jehova God who sees the secret hearts of men. He is God of both the Rich and the poor, and in His hands He holds your life.

Being Kikuyu, Luo or Kalenjin is not a choice, but the issues of your heart, attitude and how you treat others is a choice. A time for reckoning will come, and for those who stood by the truth and defended the truth, there will be a reward, but for the wicked, shame.

I have two small children, and my prayer for their sake is “Arise OOh Lord in your Righteousness and let your enemies be scattered”, so that one day, they may live in a free and fair nation.

    Tina Opiyo.
