Even though Cyprian Atieno Awiti has just won a case filed by Eng. Philip Okundi protesting the nomination results of Homa Bay County in efforts to be considered as the party’s nominated candidate for the Governor’s post, most of ODM supporters are upset in the manner nominations were conducted.

Mariana wrote 24 January 2013 4:48 PM: “Why do we behave like we are not educated. Surely civic education is needed seriously in Nyanza. God help us please!!. Or else we are going back to Kanu kind of rule.”

Fredrick Ja Gem 24 wrote January 2013 3:25 PM: “ ODM should stop fooling around with luo Nyanza people, the days of party euphoria is over, the days of imposing leaders to people is a “thing of da past”

Let Raila and his party know that we need change in our region and NOT BIG names like Nyong’o, Midiwo, Oburu, Kajwang’ and other non performing leaders, Odingaism will never exist in luo Nyanza if this is the case, common mwananchis’ right cannot be violated by some few characters in the name of ODM…ON that note right now am mobilizing Siaya county residents to vote candidates of their choice and not party….Dictatorship should be stopped and democracy be exercised, we are perishing because we lack knowledge and wisdom nnktt”.

Jaratiro wrote 24 January 2013 1:03 PM: “ @George. For your information Kajwang is NOT a performer and had competitors in Homa Bay. Do not deceive like that”.

PAUL TWENYO from Homabay wrote 24 January 2013 9:46 AM: “Sincerely, I am greatly disappointed with ODM party, I have just realized it has its owners, wait for a rude shock on 4th of MARCH 2013,we cannot continue suffering at expense of other peoples benefit, it is in Nyanza where a meter from fresh water lake is a desert, and it in Kisumu where 20litre water goes 20 Kenya shillings during dry season yet, fresh water lake is at stone throw. We must be allowed to elect those we feel can meet our needs “Nitawakataa” come rain, come sunshine”.

JARAE wrote 24 January 2013 8:56 AM: “We are not happy with the way Raila dictates luo Nyanza.Nyong’o and Midiwo did not win. This is a total shame and should have just gone ahead to include Oburu and Ruth. Shame.”

PAUL KIBET wrote 23 January 2013 4:11 PM: “When will Democracy come to Kenya? The Democrats who criticized Moi for years failed Badly. Mlolongo used by Moi was much better. Who will help us?”

Wilson wrote 23 January 2013 1:16 PM:” Going through the official ODM list, I feel that something is a miss. The Siaya governor’s name changes by the day. Who voted Mr. Amoth? was he among the contestants? ODM is confusing Kenyans”.

Cathy wrote 23 January 2013 10:37 AM: “ I’m very much ashamed with what happened in ODM. In the first place what was the need of premaries? We can’t be forced with the leaders we don’t want. My advise to Mr. Ondinga is that he is going come March 4th and let him not complain. There is no democracy in ODM and way things are I’m 100% convenced that Mr. Kibaki won 2007 elections”.

Kipkorir wrote 23 January 2013 10:02 AM: “Is this the final ODM list? Why do places like Vihiga, Bungoma etc have more than one candidate in some seats? It cannot be. And are you kidding me that they could not find suitable persons in places like Narok, Kajiado etc to run for the senatorial race?”

job omino wrote 23 January 2013 9:05 AM: “ With all this happenings Raila has truely shown luos that we are here to be guided with his wills of greedy and babaric losers, all the failures in the likes of Anyang nyang,Jakoch Koyo ,Ayiecho

Yiech, wuololololooooooooooo, luos we are finished, thought we had support for one with a greedy intention, so we see Miguna was realy right. state house let it be. UHURU NA KAZI”

Real change must come from ordinary people who refuse to be taken hostage by the weapons of politicians in the face of inequality, racism and oppression, but march together towards a clear and unambiguous goal.
