KENYA: CHURCH LEADERS CONDEMNED JESUS

I am a Christian but I have never seen and never heard the loud Christian clergy seek my views or those from my fellow christians about the draft constitution. They therefore represent themselves.

People should not be surprised by the stand of some clergy. Even Jesus’ torture and crucifixion was spearheaded by religious leaders. Many religious leaders forget that they are also humans and get deluded by large numbers of
adherents whom they mistake to be their followers. Church leaders now think they have the numbers to armtwist anybody from delivering the new constitution. can somebody tell them that these numbers are for God, not for
their own selfish interests.

Kenyans have seen worse things than providing for Kadhis courts in the constitution and we ahve never seen any of the clergymen raise a finger. Where were they during 2007 rigging, 2008 PEV, decades of corruption and impunity?

Why is somebody not telling them that common law is based on western and Christian values and kadhis courts in addition to having been there is just a provision for a religious minority. In any case some Islamic values are much better than the CAPITALISTIC CHRISTIAN values. I am a Christian but prefer the principles of Islamic banking.

The stand by some clergy is an indicator that if a moslem were to stand for presidency, they would attempt to decampaign him on the basis of being a Moslem. We saw the same tactic being used against one Hussein(just because
of a moslem name) but flopped upside down.

To fellow Kenyans, reflect on the past, look ahead, read the draft and vote wisely. Let hypocrites be hypocrites and noise makers make noise about crucifying the new constitution.
