    From: Steve Aseno

    Brethren,

With disbelief and real shock, we have little choice but to accept the unkind blow dealt to us. It is with great sadness; almost unbelievable to admit that our own Elly Odero Nyaidho (of Desoto TX, USA & Kamser-Lieta, Kendu-Bay, Kenya) is dead. It is indeed a very heavy load to bear as we reminisce the recent past events we all shared with Elly. We will always remember his laughter & joy which brought so much sunshine to us. Folks, death is harsh and indeed painful. June 2nd 2013 will be a sad day to remember. It was barely six weeks; in & out of two hospitals and two hospice homes. Why is Cancer so harsh? Why Elly Nyaidho (Ong’injo)?

Although Elly was taken from us at his prime of life, He will always be remembered for the memories he left behind and his lasting impact on us in the 59 years that he lived. His death opens a new chapter of anguish & widowhood to his beloved wife LaVerne Nyaidho with whom they shared 27 beautiful years of marriage; son Channing & daughter in law-Nicole. He leaves behind beautiful grand children. He was brother to David, James, Fredrick Edward & Benard Nyaidho. He will be missed by his sisters Margaret, Florence, Ruth & Ann. Two special nephews here in Dallas (Nimrod Nyaidho & Fred Kasera) & his special sister in Law Lesa Clayton & family among relatives and friends. He was the son to The Late Jacob Nyaidho and The Late Mama Deborah Nyaidho and was preceded in call by his brother, The Late Jared Maena Nyaidho and sister, The Late Salome Obel.

For all those wonderful God’s children who stood by Elly in his dying moments, May God reward you for your love; especially his dearest wife in whom we have seen the fulfillment of their marriage vow “Till death do us part”. Thank you LaVerne Nyaidho for your truest love to Elly in his toughest moments and the lessons we have learned from you. Elly had such unmatched vitality and vigor for life that was beyond many. He lived life fully! Fair thee well our great son & may you rest in peace until we meet again. You were brave, you spoke your mind, you gave us so much humor and brought so much unforgettable laughter.

Brethren, The Nyaidho family & The Organizing Committee, invite you to be a part of Elly’s life this one more chance as we host a Funeral farewell celebration and fundraiser to honour him and to offer the support required to ship Elly’s body home (Kamser-Lieta, Kendu-Bay, Kenya) where he will be laid to rest until the resurrection morning. Please be a part of God’s blessing as you share in our community’s grief, celebration & fundraiser to aid transportation of his family to Kenya besides meeting other funeral related expenses.

THE FUNDRAISER DETAILS ARE AS FOLLOWS:

    Dear Sir/Madam

It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of Millicent Odotte Opiacha

She was promoted to glory on Tuesday January 14th after a courageous battle with cancer. She was fifty two years old.

She is survived by her loving husband Martin Opiacha, sons Leon and Mike Opiacha and daughter Nimmie Opiacha.

She was the eldest child to Mr. Michael Odotte Kojiem and Rosemary Odotte. She was sister to Beatrice Omollo, Eunice Odotte Amadi, the late Ben Odotte Kojiem, Dorothy Odotte, Amos Ochieng Odotte, Winnie Odotte, Lydia Odotte and Doc Odotte. Cousin to Naaman Pallo, Tina Ojiem, Duncan Ojiem, Judy Ojiem, Linda Ojiem,Kevin Ojiem, Jack Obong’o, Lillian Omwono, Anne Omwono, Nixon “Ojaa” Oloo, Humphrey Oloo, Nancy Oloo, Wycleff Oloo, John Opiyo,Newton Adoyo, Jerome Adoyo, Loyce Adoyo, Mike Ogolla, Terry Ogolla, sister in law to Agnes Ogaja Kojiem, Rebecca Okore Odotte, Carolyne Njoga Odotte, Joshua Opiacha, Ruth Opiacha.

She was born and raised in Kisumu, Kenya and later relocated to Nairobi Kenya to persue a career with the Kenya commercial bank. In search of better life for herself and her family, she relocated to USA to persue a nursing career. The reckless and indiscriminate hand of death robbed her the American dream of one day owning a nursing home and giving back to the needy in her native country Kenya.
