Mama Susan Rambara was a true christian being the Head of Women’s Ministry of PAG Nyanza region for a long period.A successful entrepreneur who was the pioneer of business at Awasi market and a great farmer in the sugar belt. Her dearth is a real set back to us but we have hope that she has gone to be with her creator.Threrfore as Paul Says(We should not bereave as those who have no faith).
Mama has fought a good fight,Kept the faith and finished the race.
May God rest her soul and to the family,Take heart. The last enemy that Jesus put under his feet is death.

Thank you Bro for taking the lead role for me.

Now, I am truly humbled by the overflowing messages of condolences I have received via mail, facebook and via my phone. It has proved to me that we are indeed One Kenyan Family Under God. It will be hard for me to make mention of the names because, almost all the people I read on the Blogs have reached out to me.

We have agreed that we will remove the body from Chiromo Mortuary on Friday the 25th Nov at 7.00am for a Requiem Mass at home- Othach Catholic Church at 3.00pm. We will then bury on Saturday the 26th Nov.

In the meantime, with your continued support and prayers, we will be moving to clear the Hospital Bills that have been outstanding even as we plan for the burial. Subject: ODHIAMBO OKETCH’S MOM FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS/NEEDS

    Folks,

As you are aware, our friend Odhiambo Oketch lost his beloved mother two day ago, I spoke to him earlier today and he is taking this loss very hard but he is very strong. They are planning the funeral for next Saturday the 26th and they are making those arrangements as we speak. This is obviously going to require some cash to provide his mum, Clementina Owuor Oketch , a decent send off. As of yesterday, Odhiambo’s estimates outstanding expenses (medical bills, transportation and related costs) at about KSH 346,000.00. He needs our help and as his coordinator in the Diaspora during this moment of need, I am asking you guys to please send anything you can spare directly to him in Nairobi. His phone number is 0724 365 557. He will keep us updated on the progress of this effort on a regular basis.

Once again, lets help our friend and thanks in advance for all your help.

Subject: ODHIAMBO OKETCH’S MOM PASSES AWAY

Thank you Bro for this message.

Friends, we lost Mum, Clementina Owuor Oketch at 5.00pm yesterday. I was with her in her Hospital Bed between 2.30pm and 3.15pm, and even gave her a soda that she wanted. In the tradition of Catholics, she prayed before taking the first sip and this encouraged me some more.

She had only about 4 sips and she changed. I saw her, watched her and the good thing she did was to tell me that she was with her God. That came out very clear.

I went back to Hospital at 9.00pm and with rapid response from my Friends Sharon Onditi, Richard Mogonko and Sam Olendo, we were able to transfer the body to Chiromo Mortuary where she was booked in at around 10.53pm.

I have discussed with my relatives at home and we are agreed that we will bury on the 26th November 2011. This means that we will remove the body from Chiromo on the 25th November and move home straight from the Mortuary.

To make all this possible and to help me pay the Bills that are outstanding at both Victory and Metropolitan Hospitals, I want to invite my Friends and Relatives to meet with me at Garden Square on the 19th November at 2pm and 22nd November at 5pm to join me in planning this.

I want to also appreciate the efforts my Friends have given me since I came with Mum to Nairobi on the 3rd October. We have been to Kenyatta National Hospital, Nairobi West, Mbagathi, Aga Khan University, Metropolitan and Victory Hospitals on and off and and your support has really been invaluable. We will immortalize your support once we are through with this.

To Mr. Dave Ochwangi, many thanks Bro for the many times we have shared during this period. Dave will help mobilize for us support in the US as we plan for her send off.

Those Friends who would want to help us within this short period that we have can reach me on 0724 365 557 or via email.

Peace and blessings to all Mankind.

    Brethren,

I am very sad to pass this along to you but our good friend Odhiambo Oketch’s mom lost her battle with cancer last evening at 5PM at Kenyatta National Hospital. Odhiambo had just seen his mom around 3PM when he took her a soda. He left and only to return two hours later on the news of his beloved mother passing. I can only imagine what he is going through and he asked me to let you know his mom passed.

On my own behalf and I am sure many if not all of us, our prayers and thoughts are with him at this very moment of sorrow. As many of you know, Odhiambo is a very active member in many aspects of our country’s development, primarily on the environmental front and has led countless countrywide efforts to clean our streets and maintain proper sanitation. We may have divergent political views but he is one of us and we need to keep him and his family in our prayers.

Finally, Odhiambo will communicate in due course what his needs are at this moment and please let’s support him as best as we can both infinancial material and otherwise.

    Thanks a lot.

It’s the burdens we help another bear that makes our own seem light. It’s the anger seen for another’s feet that shows us the path to right. It’s the good we do each passing day. With a heart sincere and true, in giving the world your very best it’s best will return to you!

Death Announcement – Ronald Gwaro Achimba-Birari

The beloved Uncle Gwaro died after a short illness on March 29, 2012. He was a great man that will be missed by many.

He was the son of the late Joyce Nyanduko and the late legendary Birari Achimba Nyamwange. He was the bother to James Nyamwange, the late Ariri Birari, Clement Birari, Nyanchama and Esther.

He leaves several orphans since aunt passed away a few years ago.

He was uncle to David & Kemunto, Philip, Olzin, Nyamwange of NJ, uncle to Gladys, George, Bethwel Birari, Wilfred, Anthony, Joshua Moya of IN. Grandfather to Davine, Elvis, Edwin Mogaka of NJ. Uncle to Keen Nyamwange of IL.

Uncle Gwaro was a peaceful man that loved all people. As a young boy growing up he encouraged and cheered me on. Truth be told he played a very major role on what I became. I will truly miss him.

We are asking for your prayers in this time of sorrow. God bless you.

    Keen Nyamwange (Illinois)

“A person who has even a speck of Jesus’ fire burning within will set the local Church membership also burning with the fire of Christ. A Church that has a fire burning within will set a Jesus inferno in the neighborhood. And a community that is on fire will set the city on fire. The whole country goes a blaze following this chain of events. By convection and radiation and conduction and induction and fusion and infusion, the heat love of God will be transmitted from medium to medium”.

    John Wesley Mokaya Ongwenyi

    (February 18th, 1953 – May 14th, 2012)

Resident of Jersey City, NJ USA

Now it is God who has made us for this very purpose and has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord. We live by faith, not by sight. We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord
    2 Corinthians 4:16-18 (KJV)
