Hi All.
I read with dismay the fact that the government is planning to spend *Ksh. 4.7 B* to defend the ‘Ocampo 6’
Lets get facts straight:
1. The actions of these people and their accomplices almost brought the country to its knees (imagine if our currency would be more useless than Zimbabwe $)
2. There are IDPs still suffering, ailing and dying – these people might never live the lives they knew before the ‘Ocampo 6’ activities
3.These are the same guys who’ve run down the economy, looted state wealth and have made (or yet yo make it) to the KACC criminal files!
4. There are listless other things we can say about them ( & accomplices)
My prescription is
1. These people are political/economic criminals who this time graduated to commit crime against humanity and got caught!
2. The Kenyan government should stop embarrassing itself by engaging in a flurry of diplomatic activities to help accused criminals escape justice!!
3. They should foot their own bills (or do harambees like some poor Kenyans did to go study overseas), keep the receipts well and if proven not guilty then petition for reimbursement……if guilty, then well you can be perusing thru the receipts in your cell and count the cost of crime!!!
How about that???

My “Good Doctor” thank you for sharing your unbiased thoughts on the ICC issue now confronting your Six countrymen. Please allow me to build on your sentiments but from legal point of view. I begin by saying that ” when you elect damn people..you get damn government, when you elect corrupt people..you get corrupt government, when you elect liers you get lying government”… can you see where I am going with this!!!.
The 4.7 billion they are proposing to use for legal defense for some of the suspects is “chicken feed” compare the out come of ICC case whether these Six are convicted or exxonorated by the ICC court. If Kenya government pay legal fees for these suspects, individual victims in these cases will be able to sue Kenya government. I bet your moron MPS have not thought about the long term how this case may affect Kenya government for many years to come..if the government sponsor these six at ICC.
It is very sad to see and hear how clueless your MPS are in maters/issues dealing with ICC or international legal treaties in general These Six are bound for trial unless the three pretrial judges panel at ICC hrow the case out.
Regardless of what Mr. Kalonzo: the VP, the Born Again Christian man, the lawyer, the 2012 Presidential candidate under the KKK umbrella does to pull Kenya or AU out of ICC, the trial for the six will proceed. Eventually your Kenya Kalonzo will find out it is much easier to be sworn in by Kenya judges to be VP in the middle of disputed election at night than trying to ” black mail an international organization like ICC…just a thought!!!
Why can’t Kenya use the money your VP is spending in this fruitless campaign on IDPs, education or in other public projects in this country?????. Doctor Nyanga or any body an you “…answer me” this, when these politicians in your country are caught in corruption or charged with criminal act, or negligent of duty in their Ministries( they cry ethnic/tribal prosecution or Political Party bias. This is the question: when these politicians steal public resources do they do it on behalf of their tribes or do they share the ill gotten/looted wealth with the people of their communities???.Whenever their is corruption in given Ministry, I often hear the Minister in charge saying” I am not responsible for daily operation or my underlings are responsible for that…I did not know what was going on!!. In other words I am stupid/damn… I am poor/mere Minster in my Ministry why should I know what is going on????…Sad!!!!
It has been said, ” when you elect damn/corrupt people …you know what you the type of government you get!. It is with great regret that corruption by your politicians become the norm not exception in this country. The Blind Tribal Loyalty of voting in this country is major source of corruption which may “never” be eradicated in your life time!. The tribal voters and politicians they vote for in their communities don’t give rat ass of the qualifications or moral compass of the people they vote for in office so longs as he or she is one of their own. For these type of voters and politicians, it is their tribe first and the country later!!. For Kenyans who who sees politics in tribal glasses I say you, don’t blame government but yourselves in voting your OWN in the offices.
Reading Kenya local papers today, I saw a group of Rift Valley area MPs are about to ditch ODM to prepare for 2012 Presidential elections. Some of these MPS are living ODM because the ICC case and some are angry with the PM because of Mau Forest eviction, some are disappointed because the PM did not defend: Mr. Kosgey and Mr. Ruto with their cases both at ICC and KACC. A gain my question to the audience, what SHOULD your PM or President do for the people who have been accused legally by the court of law???????. Do these people expect the PM or the President to call or write a letter to ICC or make phone call to ICC and KACC to let these suspect go because they are important/ Key people in their parties or members of their tribes???????
I often wonder how long these political marriages of convinient will last or move your country forward?. To day it is KKK for the coming election…tomorrow will be: non KKK ethnic group electing one of their own…what a country!!!!!!!. Does this mean that the law only apply to poor people or smaller ethic groups in this country?. I wonder if the Ocampo Six were from marginal groups..will the ODM be falling apart today?..will there be need for KKK????
