Re: Just 2 minutes away from my final destination!

If I am finally lost, it will not be because the man of Galilee did not do enough to warn me, but rather due to my total failure to learn from the many daily warnings! Indeed, the good Lord continue to speak to my heart daily. Today was yet another very strong message.

As you might be aware, my movements continue to be restricted due to my sickness. I stay home literally the whole day, leg sitting! But once in a while, I drive myself, but a short distance.

Today,I left home at 4:45 pm for post office that is only 10 minutes drive away. I had to send 2 copies of my autobiography-Except for the Lord- to Texas and North Calorina. I knew that I had enough time to make it to post office! What I did not anticipate was traffic jam! And to my great disappointment, there was an accident that involved three cars, and as you can imagine, traffic was so slow.

By the time I arrived at the post office,I was 2 minutes late! Wow! Well, I will try again tomorrow!

It was on my way home when it hit me hard! Come with me as together we learn from my mistake!

1.I had enough time but kept on telling myself that I had plenty of time! Don’t we all do this even in matters as important as our salvation!

2.I was sure that 15 minutes were good enough! Many of us are fixed in our own thinking that we don’t want anyone, yes surprisingly, even God himself to disturb us!

3.All it took to miss posting was a mere 2 minutes late. Many of us cheat ourselves by comforting ourselves that we have taken care of the major issues of sin. More often than not, what we forget is that it’s the so called or regarded as small things-gossip, hatred, little cheating, rudeness, arrogance, jealousy, and many others that count. Many of us will be shocked at the last minute when God himself will solemnly declare ” Sorry son/daughter! I can’t find your name!” What a sad day will that be!

Listen, the good news is that,I will make another attempt tomorrow! The sad news as regards our salvation is that when Jesus finally gets here, there will be no more tomorrow! Then, you will realize that it’s too late to do anything! What will you say or do then! I guess nothing really!

But I have good news for you today. There is still time. The question is:”Will I wake up from my slumber and do the right thing now that there is time! Will you!

Just a thought.
