Dear Friends,

The Minister for Nairobi Metropolitan Development Hon Robinson Njeru Githae yesterday launched the KCDN Website, www.kcdnkenya.org.

In a speech read on his behalf by Mr. Brian Ouma- CEO Daisys Eye Cancer Fund, he called on Kenyans to join hands and help clean the country every 4th Saturday of the Month. He appreciated the efforts KCDN have put in to the Monthly Nationwide Clean-up Campaign and promised that his ministry is open to such partnerships that are aimed at adding value to the people of Kenya. We will post the entire speech on our website.

Our key note speaker was Dr Matunda Nyachama- Principal and Director Agano Consulting Inc. Dr Matunda is a past President of KCA in Ontario Canada and is a prolific Change Agent.

He has been part of the KCDN struggle and he has always been in the background with sound strategic advice. he emphasized the 3R theory of Re-cycle, Re-use and Reduce and he called on Kenyans to embrace the Clean up Campaign. He invited us to Nyamira for the same. a challenge we happily accepted. We will also post his speech on our Website.

The Chairman of the Board of KCDN Mr, Rashid Juma spoke on behalf of the Board Members and expressed his satisfaction with the Executive Wing and our programmes. Rashid is the CEO at Mugumo Communications Ltd and he said that he accepted to be in the Board because KCDN appealed to what he believes in; One Kenya One People.

The launch was attended by 165 Guests. We had only invited 150 guests.

We want to thank all the Friends of KCDN who made the Launch possible, the key player being Akiba Uhaki Foundation and the Town Clerk City Council of Nairobi for giving us free use of Charter Hall.
