Re; A very tough call for married men!

We all appreciate the good work done by our parents
and more particularly mothers in rearing us and
providing for our needs until we became of age. Due to
their sacrifice, we love, respect, obey, and always
listen to most of their suggestions.

As we became of age, someone else, our spouses, in away
took part or most of their part. We love them, respect
them, listen to them and accept their opinions in the
future of our individual homes.

However, as we all know very well, most men, have
found themselves bitterly divided between their
mothers and wives. While some mothers have been known
to accuse their boys for listening too much to their
wives, wives have also bitterly complained. They
sometimes worry that their husbands seem to portray
signs of immaturity when it comes to solving bitter
cases between their wives and mothers.

I know many cases where some married women have called
it a quit because of their mother in-laws.

In such cases, whom should men listen to? Their
mothers or their wives? Is it possible to strike
a balance or be fair in such cases?

Just a thought

Bro Absalom,

In such circumstances things can be quite tricky for the
man belongs to both women. However, a good guiding
principle has to do with the fact that when people marry
they ideally have to *Leave* and *Cleave*. The parents who
will have been left are respected more if they truly let go.
Family tensions are also more likely to be less.

Leaving and Cleaving also means that the marrieds also
truly leave and cleave.
