Chui was a good man who apparently walked through misfortunes. I had a chance to know him, and even talk to him at moments that he was sober, and you could then see a man who hated what had become of him. The world leans towards substance to bury pains, which in the end we abuse. I wish Chui had met Christ while he was walking the streets of Jersey City, he would have known that in Christ there is no condemnation. Christ receives us just the way we are. One thing though that those left behind should now learn is that without Christ, we are nothing.
May God rest Chui’s soul in peace, may he finally find that joy that eluded him while he toiled the streets of Jersey City. I pray a blessing over his family, may you not see your beloveds’ death as a loss, but a gain that will brighten what was once darkness,.
