I highly doubt if there is a government in place. All I see is a totally confused system where even the prime minister security is not communicating with those of the president. Where the president is talking of a manifesto while contradicting the prime minister on the youths in jail. Where nobody is clear about simple protocols. Where Kibaki has not honoured anything since we started.
They coalition need to set up an election date. The coalition cannot survive four years.
The extension of the life of this coalition is another recipee for chaos as it gives the coalition extensive time to fail. Unplanned or abrupt failure of the coalition will create uncertainity and hence chaos. I think our leaders need to start thinking about saving us the trauma. It is comming gentlemen. Lets urge these guys to set up a limit for this coalition. With this much confusion someone is to walk out out or die.
We need a new election. The coalition is too confused to lead kenya into the prosperity you are refering to.

Exactly the point Daktari. The grand coalition was a patch to get us over the difficulty times, it has sunset provisions as well as termination clauses available to both parties to invoke at any time of their choosing. The experiment has not worked and will not work; you need to be clear though that a call for new elections is not a guarantee to an Odinga presidency Barack, the math just ain’t there anymore. Kenyans are tired and they know the genesis of the violence they just went through, so your insinuation that Odinga pulling out of the coalition will translate into disaster for the rest of the country is far fetched but he is very welcome to try. As you well know, as a direct consequence of the violence courtesy of ODM’s MAJIMBO crusade, Kenya now has new political realignment, Bantus and Nilotes, GEMA is back in operation and the Luyhas and Kisiis would be wise to join, that my friend is 65% of the population, the Maasais are not so aligned as once thought and that leaves out you guys (Luos) and the Kalenjins or about 28% to 32% of the population; I hate to be blunt about it but that is reality, ODM made sure it came to the surface and we just have to deal with it. Under the doctrine of Majority rule, Minority rights- it is hard to see how a government without Odinga and ODM will paralyze the country.. a year or so ago it was possible, NOT NOW! And I know that this time the majority will NOT be caught by surprise, Kenyans have wisened up a bit since elections.
It will be in the PM’s best interest to set a side politics and trully focus on what he can do for Kenya, politics ain’t it! As for the 10,000 or so criminal suspects in jail awaiting adjudication by the courts, ODM must choose between the interests of the rest of the 32 Million Kenyans who are clamoring for service and change or those of 0.003% of the population going through the court system, the choice is theirs but all I can tell you is that the curtain is coming down soon, there has to be an orderly society and freeing criminal suspects as ODM wants is not going to happen, simple as that! The Rutos of the world need to stop the double speak, to this day, no one of these leaders has apologized to the innocent victims but instead they have spent plenty of time justifying the actions of the suspects; well, the justice system will have it is final say and that my friend will be, “there is no future in machettes and violence, all it does is buy you a one way ride ticket and several months if not years of Room and Board at the JAIL MOTEL”.. politics or no politics.

I would like to inform you that there is no such association as Bantus and Nilotes in Kenyan politics as we speak. I believe you want to start one. I belive GEMA is there but their detriment is that they have become so selfish to an extent that they have forgotten that they share the country with luos, kalenjins, luhyas, Kambas, Giriama etc.
The BANTU/NILOTE THING will only happen in your dreams. At this point I am beginning to believe you are becomming blinded by what you would like to happen rather than what can and will happen.
