KENYANS SET TO PETITION DONORS AGAINST KENYAN MP’S SALARY

Dear Kenyan,

Below is your MPs total salary per month

Basic salary                                          =          Sh. 395,000

A minimum commuted mileage              =          Sh. 75,000

Entertainment allowance                        =          Sh. 60,000

Extraneous allowance                           =          Sh. 30,000

House allowance                                  =          Sh. 70,000

Monthly car maintenance allowance      =          Sh. 247,000.

Gym membership allowance                  =          Sh. 2,000.

Vehicle fixed cost allowance                 =          Sh. 336,000

Committee meeting allowance               =          Sh. 40,000

Constituency allowance                         =          Sh. 50,000

TOTAL TAX FREE                             =          Sh. 1,242, 2000

=          $17,742 per month

Per year each MP earn                         =          $212,904 per year

EXTRAS         Car loan                       =          Sh 3.3 Million

House loan                   =          sh 10 million

COMPARE THIS WITH A US SENATOR SALARY

USA senator’s salary                            =          $165,000/year

                                                =          $13,750 per month

The salaries the Kenyan MPs are earning are from donors. This money will be paid back to a single drop by Kenyan tax payers. Kenya is a very poor country compared to United States. Just why these MPs earn more than the USA senators baffles everyone. However, they do so because the public have not demanded their rights. We have 207 MPs may be more. In five years they will draw about Ksh. 2 billion. This is greed. Only the Kenyan public can stop this.

Sign this petition and we will make sure it is delivered to the hands of the donors. We will also make attempt to lobby US/UK congress/senate to look into the money these two countries give to Kenya. Kenyan economy cannot sustain this. This petition may help stop this.

    CRACY!

It is amazing but not surprising that Kenyan Members of Parliament are earning some of the highest salaries on earth and yet the majority of the citizenry is jobless. Shame!

Donations from outside of the country should henceforth be chanelled to the people and not through the shamelesslly corrupt government.

Impunity is actively aided by the MPs who blocked the law from taxing them. If they defeat the law and dodge lawful taxation how can the correct the mess in government, let alone fighting corruption and impunity?

Those who have been thriving on impunity and corrution are having a field day following the avoidance of tax payments by MPs, let alone hiking of salaries beyond all sense of proportions in total disregard to the suffering Kenyans.

    It is sad that our members of Parliament are earning salaries that are beyond the production capacity of this nation, this is how I put it;
    1. The MPs salary should be calibrated to the exchange rate of the nation in regard to developed countries such as USA or the UK salaries at all levels. We cannot pay more than what the country can produced. MP must work hard to raise productivity.
    2. Too mush salary in leadership breeds too many money seekers than leaders thereby creating many wars in the land. Think of the many troubles we have during election periods.
    3. No MP should give a reason to justify their earning with a pretense that it is because of their involvement while serving people. The government must be seen to meet the needs of its people but not money given out without accounability.
    – How can one justify so much allowances in just 5 years!

We pray for our nation, and may God give the leadership.

how comes there is no way we as the public can get to find out who introduces what law in parliament, who votes and who doesn’t and what do they vote.that way we can know who is always introducing the increasing of salaries bill and vote him/her out.its really not fare to Kenyans and i dont know how this people live with themselves.

Surely, there have to be better ways of adressing this issue other than activism.True,it’s quite pathetic to even mention my representative as a greedy individual, but it all revolves around us all, most of the Kenyans always regret after the beans have been thrown,it’s also a culture that has to be adressed.I personally hate the kenyan political philosophies, let’s hope a good leader will infiltrate some senses to the Kenyans on the grassroots, coz it’s where they’ve been taught to perservere and lower heads for the illusionary vissions. This and any other likeminded kenyan, will most definately support.Lastly, change the name for the sake of patriotism.

Im real upset with our kenyan MPs.for one they ate blind and selfish.accept afew who real leaders but the majority are extremely bad.when it comes to devil worship, thjey are number one, most of them are lesbians, gays and all sorts odf bad vices in the socciety.i real sympatize with poor common kenya who pay tax to mantain them.how did they reavch at thjere salaries?they are not proffesionals not add anything to the economy.fun aneough some do not have even standar 8 certificate.they can not read nor write there names.some are street crimnals and drug trafficers.what is the altimate end…we protest and request the president and hon speaker to disolve the parliament such we get new blood into the system to kick staryte the new kenya we want.the have failed to inplement the constitution.in the govenment are all corupt..that is why the USA ambassodor call kenyan adminstratiom is a swamp of corruption.advice for kenyans is to elect educated leaders and avoid recycling.im concerned kenya…

@Tim…running away from a problem doesn’t solve a problem. No matter how ugly your mother is, she is still your mother regardless. So come back to set course of the change u would want to see.

What Kenya needs is a revolution.
