Rev. Otura,

Let us change our perceptions and use all means within our reach to support our leaders (MPs) unite the country. Post election violence has taught us a lesson, we are not ready to drift back again. Lets become agents of peace and justice, as we wait for constitutional reforms. i hope 10th parliament will not let Kenyans down.

My only worry is that the government is concentrating on supporting IDP’s only while those who lost their lives during post election violence across the country have been forgotten and nobody talks about them. They too have left behind people who depended on them. They need to be supported as well, this is the only way justice works.

This is a good proposition, “Unite Our Country”. You are only being a good citizen, and you are. But Which country? GEMA Republic of Kenya or Orange Democratic Republic of Kenya?  A wind breeze blowing around now is to encourage the GEMA and Eastern to secede and form their own country. They are completely incompatible with the rest. We may pretend like it will work and wait for Samolia scenario in the future.  I prefer we come up with more intelligent solution than hypocrisy.  Why would Karua and co. insist that the youths arrested be kept incarcerated while Kivuitu and co. plus police who killed innocent protesters remain free? What about those who misused the state apparatus to suppress the rights of people? i am talking about Me-chuki, Karua, DCs, PCs, etc. Is this not selective justice? What about historic land inequalities and the forced resettlement of IDPs? Can we now talk about Uniting our country? Which country?

That is history. GEMA has persecuted people’s leaders since independence, talk of Mboya, Jaramogi, Raila has spend all his life in detentions, Shikuku, Seronei, Muge, Ouko etc. It is just a matter of time and the guilty will have to be brought to  justice first before we talk of Unity. With who?  All Kenyans know who is the people’s president right now and who are the rapists of democracy and human rights in Kenya. We should for now talk of uniting our people for “Orange
revolution”. Revolt is the only way out. USA had to go through civil war and civil rights war to be where it is today. Those who want peace to come to them in a platter better read history. Kenya must be liberated before any talk of Unity is indulged. Nyanza, Rift-Valley, Western, Cost, North Eastern need to come together in a true coalition that will liberate our people from GEMA.

I know I sound very radical but not more than 1500 innocent killed by Kibaki and more than 400 more going on in mt Elgon.

David & the rest,

I think David you have hit the nail on the head. There is also a conspiracy going on among super powers to re-colonise Africa now. I do think our country Kenya is very strategically located that it might fall among those countries which might be colonised if we Kenyans are still sleeping. Do you think the attitude Martha Karua is having now will really give Kenyans a new constitution or this is just  a joke?. By the way why did PNU insist in all  high portfolio ministries?, including justice and constitution, Defense, security, finance etc. David you have asked a very good questions; WHICH COUNTRY ARE WE UNITING?. Are we uniting a country where mungiki is asked for dialogue while in Nyanza, Rift valley, western and coast youths are in prison or jail without trial?, IDPs are being settled by force?.

If Kenyans are not very careful, we shall be the first African country to be re-colonised, by the way the number of British and USA soldiers in Kenya now are even more than enough to accomplish that mission. So the ego maniacs who are already thinking of who shall be  the next president should think very well where they are heading to…. They might be suprised that the USA or EU are already having their president they will put in Kenya if Kenyans behave the way they did after post election in December 2007.
