Hi, Lydia

Kenya income tax is very widely stated and includes in taxable income employment all income derived from Kenya. The allowance you are earning under the provision of section 5 of the income tax act will be construed as taxable.

Email me directly then can see how to help you.

hi lydia…if the alllowance is not indicated on ur employers record as you having had received that amount then all you have to do is not to include the amount in your tax returns. If however your employer has record of how much they paid you inclusive of the allowance then at some point KRA may catch up with you since they already knw from your employer hw much tax you are suposed to pay on the total amount of money that they give you ie salary+allowance.
PAYE is calculated on the graduated scale rate of tax given by the taxing body. It varies as 10% 15% 20% 25% 30% with various amounts at each level

ROB,

it is good to make such daring expression of opinion. simply, look at Khalwale 15 months ago!!! he did not have much revelations to make, was just struggling to get to parliament, then was trying hard to become minister (or assistant), then grand opposer, then owner of all dosiers….what will he TRY being next? Livondo should have vied and won th ikolomani seat; perhaps we could have had less noise, a bit of nonsense but diminished hearsay!

tell them the truth, rob, even when they think they know!

Khalwale’s: Sinister Populist Agenda, Playing Politics with People’s lives.

By Denis Otingo-Onyango

Last weekend Nation’s article ‘Khalwale: Is he a political gun for hire or reformist? Was very catchy in its title on the backdrop of the ‘Unga Saga’ proceedings but was less intriguing to read though after fulfilling a much punier task of deciphering what the subjected Member of Parliament stands for or represents. In my humble view, he is not a political gun for hire but the ‘new-kid-on-the Populist Political block’ without any real reform agenda. Even more sinister, he can be viewed as a pretending reformer but for popularity sake but at the expense of the deeply vulnerable and clinically disenchanted Wananchi. I might be wrong but spare me your judgement before reading this.

At least now it’s official. Let all the media outlets and the public be warned that “Political Populism” of the eighties is back with a big bang and it’s the new flavour in politics, and the Unofficial Opposition is lapping it up. Clouding the citizenry with mixed feelings also in the process, because the “populist” stories have a perennial quality in style and rhetoric but however leaves one wanting if you are in search for true substance. It’s more about grabbing the next headline and making news than speaking for the downtrodden in bid of real reforms, and doing so with anyone or anything whose appeal ‘seems’ down home, down to earth or down market right. Khalwale has not stolen anybody’s show, apart from Kalembe Ndile, Wafwoli Bwakwoli and Ramadhan Kajembe. He is effectively the new Martin Shikuku and Kamau-wa- Nyoike hecklers type but only just without a bow-tie. His Budalangi counterpart has chosen a pocket handkerchief rather than a bow tie.

Notwithstanding, the unofficial opposition and with its new ‘political populism’ as championed by Khalwale, Bwafwoli, Namwamba and et al have been fortunate to have gigantic scandals like Grand Regency and The Unga Saga play into their hands promising great hopes to the oppressed of possible breaking of the yoke of Poverty institution. If they could have fully capitalized on them in their submissions and deployed the stick ability endurance in a seeking to convert them to bold Bills that can bring amendments and subsequently fundamental reforms. Comparatively with what presidents have been impeached about in similar other cases are realistically whimsical in proportions compared with our sagas.

The Maize Scandal in retrospect is an example of classic case that exposes the ‘Populist Politics’, here Khalwale and Co failed to see the inextricable link between ‘Ugali’ hunger of the common voiceless mwananchi they claim to speak on behalf with the Sangwachan Tanker Disaster only to let the culprits of other sagas that have taken bread out the hand of suffering like Kroll Saga and Anglo Leasing go and lecture peoples on totally peripheral issues on how to avoid similar catastrophes. I’m sorry these people do not know the pain of losing a loved one and not to have a grave to remember them with because of poverty and they should leap back into their choppers of X-4’s back to their palatial homes. A ‘Sangchangwan Bill’ would have been a progressive populism move of forcing the government to renew its commitment in fighting endemic graft that is killing its citizens with poverty, luring some of them to death like a mouse to a mousetrap. The sub-sections of the bill would suggest that, it would be a criminal offence punishable with two years imprisonment if one is found guilty of trying to siphon petrol from a Tanker illegally because the thought of serving a term might give one hind sight with the care of their loved ones in mind.

In ‘The Grand Regency Saga’ and ‘The Kimunya must go’ rendition, Khalwale in my view did not fair better than the state house draft players live alone some other chess players. He could not predict the shuffling of the furniture and his unrepentant return as if to say ‘Kwani uta do?’ meaning ‘I don’t care attitude’. With apparent signs of sending Kimunya packing, Khalwale preferred glorying in stealing the show from Bwafwoli Wakoli and his new title of the ‘Bullfighter’ from Ikolomani than considering fully the implications of his motives whether it’s about publicity or reforms. If it was for the latter rather than the former, he could have checkmated the government by tabling a positive ethnic discrimination bill for the any further appointments to the sensitive Finance docket in the spirit of New Accord and the desperation for healing following the events of last year. In my opinion with this second example, Dr.Khalwale is like a wicked Gynaecologist inducing labour in a birth process and walks away leading to still baby deaths’. He and his cohorts have lacked a hot headed analysis that can confront a national decline from top-down with all their ugly manifestations.

In a more pragmatic sense, may be some of these ‘new populists politicians’ like Gitobu Imanyara yearn to begin the kind of broad-gauged assault on the status quo as the real reformers of our historical past in the seventies and eighties such as the ‘Seven Bearded sisters’ George Anyona, Koigi Wamwere, Mwashengu-wa-Mwachofi and James Aggrey Orengo just to mention a few. They had a genuine concern about the paupers and the gap their opulent ‘masters’ lived in and did not stop at anything or anybody. They were fearless bullfighters who were not shy on taking the state machinery head on even with detention gates within sights. Here the begging question is , where is the ‘Unofficial Opposition’ party’s comprehensive critique of the delay of Agenda 4–not just the wild indifferent delay but the corrupted nature of it that has left all the state security apparatus in the hands of an elite Kenyan society. It’s a factual statement that such state machinery is the primary sustenance of inept leadership with all manner of ‘Muppet Show’ presidents like in our neighbouring African countries.

Nowadays, ”power to the people” is a slogan used even by both Microsoft and I.B.M. And ” a man of the people” by a man who with his several wives cannot go without his favourite ‘Ugali’ and ‘mrenda’ usually has a sarcastic inflection. Dr Khalwale was reported in the article as a staunch opponent of taxation of MPs’ perks. He was also quoted to be s saying that such a move would render legislators “as poor as their constituents”., I rest my case, this is tentatively playing politics with people’s lives and leaving the historic meaning of reform politics corrupting and trivializing it with as a sentimental oddity known as ‘New populism’ invoked by the press and embraced by powerful interests operatives. They are not any different from Newt Gingrich and George Galloway of western world’s politics who leapt at any ‘hot potato’ media issues to be relevant with the latter even going to a greater length of dining and seizing a photo opportunity with Saddam the tyrant.

The ‘Progressive Populism’ which I subscribe to is exemplified by the Obama’s ’08 Movement; it was creative and robustly defiant of the entrenched power. Giving hope to the disillusioned people in their bleakest of circumstances and with their five, ten dollars, they forged their own politics and audaciously took on the Washington’s establishment and Wall Street. Setting their eyes on the ‘big price’ and armed with one solid agenda that was ultimately going to change their nation. It was rich in big ideas about how they were going to use government to protect their society from further depredations of concentrated wealth and corporate power. They then incorporated the intellectual seedbed of socialist scholars like David Axelor to influencing the change agenda with tangible health, social and economic justice policies. Climaxing with a delivery strategy that culminated to the ‘New America’ they are now experiencing.

Hey, let us be warned, these ‘new populist politicians’ are just talking as if they might actually do something for the common folks. How quaint or daft, it is all ‘domo’ meaning rhetoric and impossible in our current political system that is accustomed to serving a particular interest. If they are absolutely serious, they should stop these media antics or risk being branded as ”wild-eyed, rattle-brained fanatics.” or disparage demagogues hecklers without any concept of sustainable strategy. They should then start advocating for the breaking of the corporate power, the chief perpetrator of the quagmire we have found ourselves in with a ‘hands-tied-in-the-back boxer’ Prime Minister Raila Odinga as graphically describe by the former Anti-Graft tsar and an Oxford Scholar John Githongo.

ODM IN CROSSROAD IN LUO NYANZA AS INTERNAL SQUABBKLES INTENSIFIED BETWEEN MPS AND POWER BROKERS.

News Anaklysis By Leo Odera Omolo

MISTRUST, intrigues, undercutting and seemingly endless political squabbles is causing ripples with the smooth running of the Orange Democratic Movement inside Luo-Nyanza.

The source of discontent and mistrust, is the presence of numerous power brokers claiming to be the confidants of the party leader Raila Amolo Odinga.

Also ganged up as power brokers are members of the moribund Luo Council of Elders, particularly its chairman “Ker” Meshack Ogalo Riaga, who is allegedly meddling in the affairs if the various constituencies.

On the other side are the defeated former MPs from the region, who are being accused of peddling bad rumors against the incumbent. Some of the former appeared not to have accepted the electorate verdict of December 2007. And the situation seemed to have been aggravated by the party grass elections last year.

In Kasipul-Kabondo, the area MP Oyugi Magwanga was recently forced to attend a funeral of an elder in the company of four armed policemen following constant threats by youth allied to the chairman of the Luo Council of Elders. “Ker Meshack Riaga Ogalo to the charging of the mourners., who felt the MP should be left alone to carry his duties and must not be antagonized by anyone who is not elected by the people in a popular vote.

The near ugly incident Qwest Kanmagak, Kionyango Location. The MP had gone to attend the burial of the father of the Miglori T.T.C. Princiopal, Mr. Paul Kokelo. MZEE Isaiah Okelo had died of natural illness.

THE mp AND THE “Ker” exchanged harsh words before a huge crowd of mourners with the MP Maguwanga challenging the chairman of the Luo Council of Elders in his face to resign his position, which is mainly a cultural and tradition leadership, if he wished to join politics. Otherwise, he should confined his activities to preaching cultural matters but not to indulge in politics..

The two had another harsh exchange in Kodera Location in West Kasiopul during the burial of Mr. Robert Ng’wena, the CDF chairman., where the “Ker” was reported to have told the mourners that political thuggery in the area must come to an immediate end.But the Luo Council of Elder quietly slipped out of the funeral venue as soon as the MP arrived, and there was no confrontation, though the MP refuted most of the allegations made by Mzee Riaga Ogalo.

Some of the current Luo MPs have complained that they were being held hostages, and not allowed to speak their minds freely. Or made comment on local and national issues affecting the nation, they are censured and attacked publicly by power brokers, who are claiming to have the ears of the Prime Minister.”We are facing a very hard time both in and out of the August House.” remarked one MP who wished to maintain his anonymity. . “we are always referred to derogatively as greenhorns, political novices, and told to shut up.”

“Anyone who speaks his mind, is simply dismissed as an agent of William Ruto, or sympathizer of Mt. Kenyan politicians.”, the MP added. He wondered as to for how long they are going to continuing singing hero worshipping a fellow MP, and yet they were voted in to represent the view of the electorate.

The discontent does not end up only with the MPs but also with the perception that Luo Ministers in the grand coalition government are making no significant contribution towards the uplifting of standard of living among the regions population. Their only contribution is just about to sing about polluting the air hero worshipping of Raila Odinga.

”We want them to tell us how they are going to empower the community economically and not polluting the air in the area with empty political slogan through valueless rhetoric’s. People are wallowing in abject poverty, suffering from hunger and experiencing acute shortage of food. Grains. Anyone who raises complaints id dismissed as disloyal to the Prime Minister” said a civic leader in Homa-Bay.

One politician recently likened the flags flown by Luo Ministers in the grand coalition government like those flags which are being flown on the bonnets of vehicles belonging to the heads of Legio Maria and Israel Roho native churches in Luo Nyanza.By this, he meant the flags are empty with nothing tangible to offer to the suffering members of the community. These words were used during a function attended by one of the Luo Ministers. Who never protested or raised any objection.

In other sentiments, members of the community wanted to hear good news like the revival of the stalled economic projects, resuscitation of the ailing sugar factories, improvement of the fishing industries, construction of good feeder and access roads, renovation of schools and improvement of the fallen standard of education in the region.

There are confrontation and undercuttings reported in constituencies like Nyakach, Rongo, Rangwe,Kasipula-Kabondo,Karachuonyo and Kisumu Town West. The places are full of power brokers and the defeated former MPs who still maintain contact with the ODM party headquarters.,

The electorate on the other side are demanding that their MPs must be left alone to perform their duties of passing legislations and development their constituencies in a free atmosphere ,which are devoid of gross interference from any quarters..

“Branding other leaders as being sycophants of so and so, must stop if the ODM hope to remain a float on course for election victory in the year 2012, otherwise the party could be disintegrate and evaporate within a year or so. Said one civic leader in Kasipul-Kabondo who advised the chairman of the Luo Council of Elders to operate in a dignified manner and to stop forthwith behaving like a youth winger. Moreover his office of the”Ker” must remain dignified all the time for cultural nopurishment.”

Dear Raila Wuod Odinga, Save Ruto, Redeem Yourself

Agwambo, Tinga, Owadgi Akinyi,

I am writing this letter to you as a personal friend, and displaying it in public as evidence that I was able to give you free advice.

Things are falling apart. The center cannot hold. Please re-evaluate your priorities. This coalition government is not what you envisioned. It will fall apart shortly and consume both Kibaki and you. Currently, our private polling is indicating that your approval ratings have taken a nose dive. Kibaki’s have always been low and will not be running for elections again. If elections are called today, the mood of the country is ANY outsider will win.

As for you, a good number still view you as someone who has brought about change in Kenya, but whose hands are tied down so low, with a knot so tight, they are almost giving up on liberation.

Agwambo, let me tell you without reservation, that if you do not support Ruto, it will be the biggest betrayal case I have witnessed. Ruto might have screwed up in awarding tenders to brokers, but this is nothing compared to Goldenberg, Anglo Leasing or Kimunya’s Grand Ragency scandals. These scandals killed many more that the consequences of Ruto’s blunder if any would. Yet to date, nothing has been done to perpetrators of these major scandals. As a matter of fact, most are still sitting in the cabinet. Ruto has done nothing wrong, but mere failure in judgement and if you and ODM do not support him during this PNU orchestrated siege, you will be worth nothing to me and many more. I am a long time supporter of your ideals and leadership because I believed in them and not that you are my tribesman.

To prove my point, if you do not support your ODM colleague, I will withdraw my support from you and give it to this man, William Ruto arap Seromei because of his honesty. Agwambo, let me repeat, do not betray this good man. He put you in power. If you do, ‘mene mene, mene mene tel uphasi’ to you.

So what if the names in the Waki envelope go to The Hague. After all it is the only place that Kenyans can get justice. Kibaki stole elections and brought about harsh consequences to Kenyans, of which we are still paying price what with these curse-like frisky calamities of Nakumatt and Molo fires. To continue working with this man and give up Ruto, is the biggest case of hypocricy i have known.

Agwambo, I would rather than see Ruto crucified and do nothing, you get out of coalition government of 50/50 bul@#$%^ notwithstanding the PM post!.

Nationalist Information

Dear sisters and brothers,

I ask myself this one question: why did nationalism fade away too first after independence? It is my wish to seek information on how i can meet and talk to the oldest surviving nationalist anywhere in Africa.

Guys, we have great ideas and if we are not able to have a coordination of ideas to come up with just one strategy: mbona walikula chumvi nyingi wasituonyeshe! I bring this point here because i keep reading about certain ills that i call flipsides of racism.

Anyone with this information kindly assist me and i shall propose a strategy there after.

My two cent contribution,

We have 70% or whatever %tage we members of parliament, yet thievery thrives, does it mean the 30% is so bad.

Time to ask ourselves hard questions.
1. Are our leaders a reflection of Kenyan society. Is each one of us a thief/corrupt person waiting to get his chance/time to eat? How many of us given the chance would not pay their tax?
2. Is there any way I can change what’s happening in Kenya by doing the small things that can change me, my family, my neighborhood…etc

Does it matter where the govt runs from if all in government are only thinking of where can i eat from?

All this talk about changing this office/constitution is good, but I think meaningful change calls for a paradigm shift. A thirst for Patriotism, a willingness to go against the tribal grain, to stand up for the truth and in my very own a willingness to see a new order

As long as I label myself Kikuyu/PNU, and another person labels themselves Luo or Kalenjin/ODM, Kenyan Money will continue being siphoned into individual pockets.
Proper government will never happen because our “Tribal chiefs” will run back to their constituents to say the tribe is under threat.
I think Kenyan politicians all eat together, plan together, and execute corruption like a game of chess. They do business together, aren’t they or their cronies directors in the same companies.
They outsmart each other on what plan to apply to make Kenyans forget their evil ways.

Food for thought,
Can you do something to make Kenya a better place? Is there something you are doing?
We are the only nation that campaign all year round all time around.

Before removing the speck on politicians eyes, remove the log(tribalism, hate, unpatriotic) that lies in your eyes.

For the religious Don stop praying until the job is done.

Subject: Restructure the Government NOW!!

Henry thank you for raising a very important issue that Kenyans seem not to be keen in discussing and resolving. For this government to work smoothly without intrigues and confusing, there is need for the executive to be restructured in GOOD FAITH. A Prime Minsiter in all Democracies that I know is always the head of government and Leader of Government Business in Parliament. This is sensible and any government which wants to perform must adopt this structure without political confusion and greed coming into the discussion.

In the Kenyan case, we have a lame duck Prime Minister, who is then asked to have 45 minutes in parliament articulating government Policy while he is NOT the Leader of government business in parliament. This is unaceptable and ODM must stand up and make sure that this anomaly is RESOLVED. The role of the PM is totally confused and diluted by the way the Accord stipulates it. Its hanging there without proper and concrete specifications and what the PM should do. Co-ordinating government minsitries means that he should represent the government in parliament and not the Vice President. We are thus having a very rudderless government. How can 210 members of parliament not see this anomaly and do something about it???

Secondly with the changed Constitution with the Accord, the post of head of public service should have been scrapped. It really doesnt matter who was holding the position at the time. What Kenyans need is a co-ordinated government that can work and deliver to millions of kenyans public service. Currently there is total confusion and thats why nothing is working.

I totally agree with PROPOSALS that Henry has put forward. Our young energetic MPs should rather concentrate in bringing these proposals to parliament so that we have a coherent GOVERNMENT.

Starting next month-March 2009, parliament will hopefully, be implementing a set of new standing orders. As a result, the prime-minister will have some 45 minutes to articulate govt policy on a wide range of issues. Wednesday’s afternoon session has been set for this.

But one wonders which policy issues the PM will be articulating when he is neither head of government nor leader of government business in the house (parliament) .Secondly, in the critical realm of public service, Amb. Muthaura has seemingly taken hold. What exactly does the PM do ?

My view is that Raila must get his thinking proper and be open with Kenyans.Kenyans are fed up with the confusing state of affairs where the PM’s role is not properly and adequately defined.

Take for example—when the PM constituted a committe that initially investigated the case of sale of grand regency and the committee handed in a report, the president returned from an official overseas trip and dis-regarded this committe’s findings. Remember that the Attorney General Amos Wako the chief govt advisor and the Chief anti-corruption officer of govt-The Aron Ringera were part of the committe which found Kimunya culpable—–this shows who heads govt and state and we therefore cannot see the use of the PM being given time to articulate govt policy when he is not head of govt under the current constitutional dispensation. The true position is that PM will only be given the authority to speak in parliament as SENIOR MINISTER without portfolio—can PM for example direct VP not to table any given bill in parliament without President’s approval ?

Raila and Kibaki are, as per the law creating this govt, the principals but somehow there is no clear provision for executive authority being shared except for nominating persons on ODM side to be appointed cabinet ministers, somehow some actions from the PNU wing courtesy of the office of Muthaura create the thinking that the VP’s office is more senior than the PM’s office.Kenyans see some puerile juxtapositions here.

PROPOSALS

1.Parliament should work towards ammending the constitution to make the PM, leader of govt business in parliament—–this should not be part of the major constitution making process expected to start any time this year. This should be done with immediate effect through a private members bill / motion. Youthful MP,s like Namwamba had better invest in this rather than engaging shameful and demeaning things like he did last week in parliament—-Youthful MP’s must be seen to be critical thinkers not hecklers.

2.That the head of public service and minister for public service be placed under the PM,s office. This will make the PM,s office stronger and work to serve Kenyans–the current arrangement is useless—the President had better play state functions and leave govt to the PM as this WILL be in the new constitution.Kenyans need to get used to this efficient arrangement today not tommorrow.

3.That the PM must have perfomance targets—what govt must deliver other wise Kenyans will be treated to yet another empty rhetoric.—take for example, where the PM promises that govt will provide subsidy to maize flour and in ashort while, this is just seen as hot air, nothing is practically seen to be happening on a national scale .Govt must be truthful and fulfill promises or its voted out.

4.That the PM,s office be staffed with highly qualified and experienced staff-40 of them and be the equivalent of permanent secretaries—each charged with supervisng the 40-bloated ministries—-this the only way PM will function efficiently—the expectations are too high for him—this will be the case for future PM,s who will head govt.

5.That in whole, the constitution making process be expedited and hopefully based along the Bomas draft—-this draft makes what our views of the Kenya we want are.

Unless thse reforms take place, the PM,s office is a waste today and Kenyans do not feel its practicability and usefulness.

How about this idea….

Guys,

What if we just entrench corruption in the constitution so that it becomes Legal. At least we will stop crying about it and we can save the huge sums of money in Millions paid to Ringera and his team as salaries. Definitely you will know that if you want a loan of say 250,000 from any bank or Sacco, you will clearly expect a certain defined percentage to go to the so called facilitators.

Service in any government office at the end you know you will pay shs. 100 so you don’t complain about it at least the service will be fast.

In any case why do we talk of getting rid of what we are deeply involved in. lets make it Legal.

This does not mean am giving in to corruption but if legalized the name will change from corruption to i.e service fee.

What’s your comment.

Please Kenyans whats going on..why are we quiet about the TRITON CORRUPTION DEAL at KPC?? Why are Members of parliament quiet too about the same?

PROPOSALS

1. Parliament should work towards ammending the constitution to make the PM, leader of govt business in parliament—–this should not be part of the major constitution making process expected to start any time this year.

Re: Item not found!

To succeed as a cashier, one must:

-Have good customer skills
-Be fast in scanning the merchandise
-Be accurate in receiving and processing payment

But there are times when other factors stand on the way . One such time is when the a message pops up “Item not found!” Any cashier can tell you that such message is but annoying and unwanted. And here is why!

-It will mean that you call the manager on duty thus wasting more time
-It will mean that you send the customer to go back and get another item with UPC-a code that we use in scanning every item. Want you to know that customers don’t like this.

But the greatest frustration is to see other customers leave your lane because tit’s taking too long. For you see from the time it happens to the time it’s solved, it takes a while

In most cases, the customer becomes annoyed and decides not to buy such an item until another day.

If anything, this message has come to remind me of another message in the Bible. Mathew 7:21-23 tells us that time is coming when the Lord of the universe will declare to some of those who thought that their names were recorded in the heavenly books, “I never knew you; depart from me you evil doers!”

Unlike the cashier hitch that is usually solved, the one by the Lord of the universe will be final! And boy! What a rejection that will be!

My appeal to all those of us who are called by his name is this. As we journey on, let us make sure that our names are recorded there? Shall we?

Just a thought.

Mercy

I fully support the government’s decision to remove LPG from supermarkets yes the generator caused the fire,
but the LPG accelerated it and made it impossibe to curb the fire easily ,also preventing a easier exit for any survivors who would have made it out because of the fumes and repeated explosions,so clearly any flammable products should be stored outside prefarably at a petrol station it saves more lives in such cases.

Kasaya,

I agree with you.

They shouldnt store gas. Go buy it from gas stations. You can not keep gas where you also keep paint. Now Kenyans are complaining cause they want gas back at Nakumatt.

MAY THE LORD RICHLY BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY

Its only a rogue daktari that will inject on the head of a patient with a headache and inject the stomach of one who has a stomach ailment. The matter I am likening to Kenya’s sickness is of greater magnitute than the simple illustrations of a headache and a stomachache.

Kenya is sick. ‘Very sick’ for that matter. We will not treat it with peacemeal solutions of this kind. Such solutions might helpful only for a while. We need to identify and treat the cause. Stocking gas or gas cylinders (read as flammable material) in Nakumatt was a symptom of an ailment in our country. Dont we have regulations that govern such businesses? Our ailment is that our systems do not work so much that it has become a norm. We have compromised them ourselves. It is a heroic act to do something wrong and get round it. Some whitewash wrong by legalising what is illegal.

-Are you saying that city council was not aware, long before, that Nakumatt had sealed the fire exit points?
-Who has not heard about the gymnastics of tax evasion in a number of these businesses?
-Who does not know where the management of Nakumatt is supposed to be after such a gross mistake ( I lack a better word). Instead they sleep in the comfort of their posh ‘bunkers’, go for the TV show of being prayed for (What a misuse of God’s name) and they are given such a ‘directive.’

That is the Kenya we want.

And life goes on.

Most outlets keep gas cylinders outside and in grilled cages. Its Nakumatt that kept them inside. In Eastleigh, a whole kitchen wall of a flat flew out of the main building after a gas cylinder exploded.

KTN should know that Ruto owe nobody explanations

KTN are unprofessional

How can Ruto monitor unscrupulous traders exporting maize seeds? Is Ruto the police? KTN should come out and stop blaming Ruto for all its pproblems. KTN must practise professional journalism and not be Moi’s revenge machinery.

Moi killed our brothers, sisters and all and now his station is administering tyranny on us.

I agree, KTN is promoting thieves while pretending to fight corruption. You have seen how even Lillian Muli was bought a house by a politician who is known to be very corrupt. What does they take us for? We know the Kenya Tyranny Network and its agenda and we wont be cowed.

Kenya Tyranny Network is on a revenge mission for Moi and Gideon

THE CLASS

This is an Educational show crafted by DALC staff (now fired) that will be Premiering on Tuesday this week onKTNat 8.00 pm. You heard right,KTNis given Oborah all the airtime a diploma mill con would need to seem legitimate. Why couldn’t they do the show with other well respected Educationalists in the country? Why the hell in Kenya isKTN airing a show by a man who brought Irish International University and European Business School to Kenya? Why is a man of dubious PhD credentials getting airtime on a channel that claims to fight corruption? Does the Standard group have fact checkers?

I was irate when I saw the preview of the show because I recognised it was the same thing Oborah was fronting 8 months ago and encouraging students to take part in. How bad can things get? ?Here I am exposing well known fraudsters andKTNis bloody promoting his TV show!!

Of course this is going to give the man more credibility than Githongo’s recording of Kirautu’s voice as we all know that Kenyans trust the media more than anything. Soon I’ll have people writing on this blog that Oborah is genuine because he was on TV. Period. For a majority of Kenyans its that simple. The man doesn’t have to explain his bogus WIDU qualifications or association with Oxford/Cambridge Association of Managers fraudsters? He is on TV talking education!!

So more Kenyans will be duped into taking some of his courses and in the end when the fat lady singsKTNwill have lost every bit of credibility it has.KTNis getting lots of egg all over the shiny I&M windows with this show and the fact that Oborah pays for this with money scammed of poor Kenyans should makeKTNthink twice about this.

Or is the Standard Group really as corrupt as people say? I cannot be convinced that they have the time to investigate corrupt politicians and other mega scandals and yet they do not have a whiff of Oborah education scam. NA!

KTNwill pocket Oborah’s money and innocent Kenyans will hold worthless papers from Cambridge and Oxford Association of MANAGERS!!!!

Standard group is Moi’s revenge house. Its out not to help the country move forward but its out to revenge. 2030 VISION MAY NOT AFTER ALL BE ACHIEVED

Hey all,

Paul

VISION 2030 MAY NOT AFTER ALL BE ACHIEVED

Our Country lacks leaders who have the ability govern and lead us to second class country in the world. We lack leadership capable of putting together ideas to make a coherent framework of creating unanimity. We have knowledge and expertise skills. Our biggest challenges are our leaders are carried away by: Corruption Negative ethnicity Lack of patriotism Lack of openness in their dealing Greed Lack of integrity

Our leaders greed for money can sell this country for anything, Take example of the Arthur brothers saga they had full government machinery support and yet to date no one leader have stood up and say, “I did it, it was wrong and I apologize to all Kenyans and resigns “Instead they denied any wrong doing.

We must devise bold strategies rooted on our basic values and have courage to carry them.

We need sustainable development, universal education, health care for all, and world class infrastructure.

Our leaders must put Kenya first and Shan greed.Baraka Obama two years before being elected president of the USA on a lecture at Nairobi University said “Corruption in Kenya is a crisis”.

Gaze what, Alfred Mutua government spokesman, was out as usual denial and told Obama to leave Kenyans alone.

A common problem can only be solved by people getting together, thinking things through, then decide how best to act for the common good with the welfare of Kenyans at Heart.

This is the only way this great nation can prosper to second class world country every Kenyan wishes.

Kenya exist for all individual not for the wealthy and elite as perpetuated by our so called politicians. Primary motivation of our society ought to be justice not personal greed.Power belongs to many not a few. Too much power concentrated in hands of too few people is a threat to individual freedom.Kenya exist equally for the impoverished as well as the wealthy, disadvantaged and the unfortunate, powerless as well the influential Its time our leaders know and realize these fundamental value of compassion and fairness in our society should touch their minds and hearts. Our leaders must fulfill their promise of what they swear equal right for all. Our constitution forty years plus after independent still cannot afford equal rights for allIt’s with our children, the common bound that our vision must begin

Re: It reminds me of my loving earthly father!

Amidst the confusion that was caused by a loud and dangerous false fire alarm this morning at my apartment complex, my devotion took me to Ezekiel 2o:12. It reads: “Moreover I gave them my Sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the Lord that sanctify them.”

This passage of scripture spoke to my heart and opened my eyes to see something I had not seen heretofore.

It has been over 10 years now since my dear father was laid to rest at the age of 108 years old. I truly miss him! Of the many things that I fondly recall of my father, two stand out: Here they are:

-Born and brought up in a humble polygamous home, my father worked his way up to become a very successful business man. He owned and operated retail stores, passenger vehicles, water/power mills, and many others! Bless his heart!
-My father allowed the good Lord to use him to bring the Adventist message to our village

Now, whenever I come across those who knew my father, they tell me that I look like my father! Well, you know as I do, that, that’s debatable! What is not debatable though is that like my father, I love cashier work.

Except for the fact that like my father, the good Lord called the unworthy me into pastoral ministry, I would have easily become nothing, but a businessman; a successful one too; I think!

So that you may know and understand, my dear wife, who is a nurse by profession, has never bought the idea of her pastor husband working as a cashier, and I do appreciate her reservations and sentiments. What my wife and others have failed to understand, though, is that cashier work reminds me of my father, that I truly loved and miss so dearly!

In like manner, according to Ezekiel, our heavenly father, loved and cared for His children so much that He gave us His Sabbaths, just to remind us that He is the one who sanctifies us. Hallelujah! Yea, even more, to remind us of the creation week. Thank you Jesus!

That is why during this week, when the world is celebrating Charles Darwin, the father of evolution theory, I am glad that the weekly Sabbath continue to remind me that the world and all therein came from our heavenly father!

How about you? Is there anything that reminds you of your loved ones? How about your heavenly father?

Just wondering!

KENYA – I WANT A TICK NOT A VAMPIRE

I have succumbed to the reality that our government is a blood sucker. Blood suckers exist in different manifestations; there is a tick and a vampire amongst the many.

I’m told the life cycle of a tick is in four stages, In the advancing stages of the tick, I’m told the parasite must drop down to prepare for the progressive stage, thus giving its host time to reload.

The vampire on the other hand is a monster that bites my neck and sucks my blood leaving me fatally wounded.

Since I have no much of an option, the Kenya that I want is a government in the nature of a tick, which then sucks a little blood and gives me time to recuperate. Not a vampire that sucks me to the bone marrow and leaves with no strength to move and fend for myself.

I opt for the lesser of the two evils, because it appears I won’t escape the blood suckers. After all Justice Ringera confirmed it.

Today in Nation headline title..the paper argued that while the former ECK officials will eb sent home, they will be gagged using the Officials Secret Act not to talk or discuss the MESSY HANDLING of the 2007 General elections. What is Muthaura HIDING from Kenyans? What is Kibaki HIDING from Kenyans? See this proves to all Kenyans that KIBAKI STOLE the 2007 General elections-NEAT AND CLEAR..You need no any other evidence at ALL..

Why PAY and then GAG SAMUEL KIVUITU? Why GAGG all former ECK officials.? Let me tell you..its only in Kenya where you STEAL an elections..agree to negotiate but still call your self the PRESIDENT and then GAG all those who helped you STEAL..not to talk about the THEFT..To many Kenyans KIBAKI is not their President..He is an IMPOSTER..and the country has no President at all..The 2007 General election was a SHAM..There was no winner after the GRAND THEFT..What we need is FRESH ELECTIONS for this country to have leadership mandated by the PEOPLE. Imagine in 2009 we have a country in AFRICA which doesnt know who its president is..Kenyans need to wake up and call for fresh elections. This coalition has no mandate..I wonder where the JUDGE who adamantly argued that a CONSTITUTION must be passed through a REFERENDUM so that it has the mandate of the people is.. to argue that a President must be elected by the PEOPLE so that has has LEGITIMACY..

If ODM really cares about Kenya as they said during the campaign..then they MUST expunge this Muthaura MISCHIEF of GAGGING THE ECK officials NOT TO DISCUSS THE BANGLED AND STOLEN 2007 General elections..ODM where are you when Kenyan RIGHTS are being trampled on every by this Government of Kibaki (Not Government of Kenya). We need you to STAND UP and be COUNTED..

Secondly William Ruto-DONT RESIGN because of TRIBAL WITCH-HUNTING thats going on from PNU..If PNU argues that Kimunya RESIGNED..where is KIMUNYA..back in the cabinet because of his tribe and nothing else. Kikuyu leaders must stop applying double standard in this country..To tell you the truth..this country is backward because of Kikuyu leadership-period..Do your analysis from independence todate and you will agree that Kenya is backward because of Kikuyu leadership nothing more..

hello wanakazi,
What is it with Kenyan policy makers, now they are giving us the “kenya we dont want” its a shame.Guys are queuing for hours just to fill the tanks of their vehicles, yet we are told there is no crisis in the fuel industry,if u remember well guys, last year Kiraitu Murungi promised kenyans that the govt will introduce a formular for determining pump prices with effect from 1st january 2009. its almost March and no formular yet! Energy regulatory Commission even developed the formula and invited interested parties to present their submissions lakini bado. Is it that the formula is “still being developed” or someone somewhere is sleeping on it!! Kenyans are crying aloud. Save and give us the Kenya we want.!
