No tears for the pastor’s daughter!

At the end of what started as a good story but quickly
turned to be a very sad and discouraging story, I
found myself mot only hurt but seriously thinking
about my children-the pastor’s children.

You see after four years of long, painful and torturing
waiting, the good Lord gave us four children. In
deepest appreciation of this long a waited gifts, we
promised to raise them up in the ways of God. Over the
years,we have faithfully done just that and may be
over did it at times .

Of all that we have taught them, the one that we
expected them to recall and apply in every situation
is the golden rule (Do unto others what you expect to
be done to you-Mathew 7:12.) We have always reminded
our children to be nice to their friends, fellow
students,,fellow employees and obedient to the
teachers and employers.

But this story about the pastor’s daughter, left me
wondering how my children were behaving out there.

A pastor’s daughter joined this particular company
with a nasty attitude. She had no respect for anyone;
no,not even the bosses. She made every ones life
miserable by whining, yelling, always complaining and
making every body annoyed.

The day when she quit, there was joy like it had never
been felt all the time she was there. All were happy
that finally she was on her way out, yes, out for ever.

The comment by one of them “No tear’s for the
[pastor’s daughter,” bespoke of the majority feelings.

“Why,” I found myself wondering! Why do people decide
to be mean? What do they get in return?

The more questions I asked, the more I found myself
confused. I therefore decided to leave my children to
their creator. But as for me, I am determined more
than ever before to apply the golden rule wherever I
find myself. How about you?

Just a thought.
