Kenya & Holland: The GOK Pulls the Carpet From Under Ocampos Feet

from Papa Likondi

With the agreement by the cabinet for a local tribunal, to look into the PEV, Ocampos’ quest has been delivered a major devastating blow. This means no Kenyan will ever step in the Hague to answer charges related to the PEV

Have a very good Likondi day Jirani Kuno

I am no sure of what you are smoking sir , articles 1 and 2 of Rome statute are clear of which Kenya is a signatory and they state that
    Article 1
An International Criminal Court (“the Court”) is hereby established. It shall be a permanent institution and shall have the power to exercise its jurisdiction over persons for the most serious crimes of international concern, as referred to in this Statute, and shall be complementary to national criminal jurisdictions. The jurisdiction and functioning of the Court shall be governed by the provisions of this Statute.

    Article 2
Relationship of the Court with the United Nations

The Court shall be brought into relationship with the United Nations through an agreement to be approved by the Assembly of States Parties to this Statute and thereafter concluded by the President of the Court on its behalf.
The Court shall have international legal personality. It shall also have such legal capacity as may be necessary for the exercise of its functions and the fulfillment of its purposes.
    ICC has these powers
The Court may exercise its functions and powers, as provided in this Statute, on the territory of any State Party and, by special agreement, on the territory of any other State.
In this case it is ICC that pulled the carpet from under Kenya’s feet, where the government committed themselves into allowing it to apprehend prosecute the suspects

Keep dreaming..Ha ha…, the suspect to be named are headed for trial at ICC. There is very little the GOK or the MPS in the Parliament can do now to stop ICC from prosecuting the Six to be named soon. By the way while you are at it Mr. Lkondi remind these suspects that this is legal issue NOT political..no matter what Ruto says in the public will not affect his legal problem!!!!!
