OPEN LETTER TO THE INTERNATIONAL OLYMPIC COMMITTEE

Dear Mr. JaCQUES ROGGE,

You may not have heard about my 10th great grandfather, Ragem who frequently appears to me with insight to issues all around the world, but in particular, Kenya.

First, I am ordered to congratulate Michael Phelps for his achievement as the 1st person to amass 11 gold medals your esteemed competition, and still poised to pick up others.

During these Olympic spirit times however, I regret to inform that he has finally revealed to me that the current Olympic sports not fair to us.

If you do not agree, tell me why there are over 34 gold medals in swimming alone, whereas running, jumping, shot put, discuss, javelin, walking etcetra, have a combined total of 47?

Just like swimming has, breaststroke, backstroke, freestyle, medley, butterfly, synchronized, so should running have backwards, left sideways, right sideways, crisscross, forwards, bare-feet, one-shoe, one-legged, to make it even for us to catch up.

Oh yea, running should also have 25m, 50m, 75m 100m 125m, 150m, 200m Pot-On-Head, 400m, 4000m Steeplechase, 6000m Back-Pack-On-Back, et al.

Personally, I encourage the OIC to immediately implement Ajua, Banyo, Sugar-Cane-Chewing, Gololii, Blada, Tapo, Mkebe, Shake, Kamare, Hot-Tea-Drinking, Cow-Milking, Goat-Skinning, Hair-Plaiting among many others to increase the number of sports and also the number of older adult participation. No no no, we wont have to wait all these years since 1896, for NASA to invent Speedo – the carbon fiber water resistant swimwear for records to break.

I do not know about you Mr. JaCQUES ROGGE, but until the OIC levels the playing field and sports, the most of the Olympics sports are not really for us all. To separate and dedicate some sports for Winter just complicates the competition for us further.

Please, visit Africa and research what sports are for us by us (FUBU), and integrate them for the world to compete in, in the Olympic Spirit.

And talking about breaking records, ours was broken already. It is F. C. GORMAHIA By Juma Toto & THE HODI BOYS’ BAND. I challenge someone to patch a good copy on Youtube, since I am not sure Mr. JaCQUES ROGGE would include this one in the 2012 games.

Regardless, my 10th great grandfather, Ragem concurs that these games bring us together and hold us together closer than the World Wide Web binds us, hence must continue.

TO ALL KENYANS IN UNITED STATES, IF YOU INTEND TO SEND ANYTHING AT HOME, DON’T MAKE A MISTAKE TO USE KENYA POST OFFICE OR KENYA REVENUES AUTHORITY. I SENT ELECTRONICS AND IMAGINE THEY HAVE SWITCHED WITH LOCAL AND LOW QUALITY WITH MINE, THEY EVEN OPEN THE PACKAGE.
IT’S REALLY SAD FOR OUR PEOPLE DOING THAT, AND ALL THE OFFICIALS, SHAME ON YOU.
