KENYA: THAT KIRAITU MURUNGI HAS STOLEN DOES NOT MEAN THAT WILLIAM RUTO SHOULD GO ON A LOOTING SPREE

From: gordon teti

My response to Korir,

First of all, two wrongs don’t make a right. Therefore, the fact that others have stolen in the past does not sanctify the stealing of today.

Kenyans should start thinking about their country and how to move it forward to a future of propriety for the coming generations. This thinking that an individual steals for the community is repugnant.

Nearer to home; when Jomo Kenyatta plundered the state resources he used tribal politics to blind his community in supporting him. Today, the resources that Kenyatta looted are only benefiting Kenyatta’s family and not the Kikuyu community most of whom are living as squatters in their own nation/country. Why do we have land problems in the Rift Valley? It is because after grabbing all the land within the Kikuyu nation, the ordinary Kikuyus were shipped away like bags of potatoes to foreign nations where with time the locals, the Kalenjins, are now asking them to go back to their ancestral land. That was the case in 1997; that was the case in 2002; that was the case in 2007 and it will be the case forever until the land issue in Kenya, and especially among the Kikuyu squatters is resolved. If Uhuru Kenyatta is serious about leadership in Kenya he should first return the land that his father grabbed from the Kikuyu peasants to the rightful owners.

Daniel arap Moi who came after Kenyatta did the same. He followed in the foot steps of Kenyatta; fuata nyayo. He used tribal politics to the benefits of himself, his family and close friends. Isn’t that a fact? Frankly speaking, what did you or your family benefit from Moi’s leadership. Does your family own a helicopter like Gideon Moi who has three helicopters? Think individually and ask yourself if what Ruto is doing is going to benefit you and to what extent? Will it benefit the community? Will it benefit Kenya? Please, think out of the box and think about the common good rather than empty selfish considerations.

I really pity people like you who are blind and cannot see for themselves that supporting Ruto and KKK alliance is leading Kenya to the dogs.

My friend, be wise and give reason a chance. Think about the future of your children and those who will come after them rather following Ruto down a path of destruction.

God bless Kenya.
