Hello:
Before Barack accepts the nomination at the Open Convention next week, he
will be joined backstage by Jim Fondriest from Massillon, Ohio.
Jim was selected as one of 10 supporters who will fly to Denver, meet Barack,
and get a front row seat to history.
Please take a minute to read a short message from Jim and sign up to attend
a Convention Watch Party in your community:

I know Jim’s story will strike a chord with many of us here in Ohio who
are ready for change.
Thanks,
Aaron

—— A message from Jim Fondriest ——
Dear Fellow Ohioans —
If you had asked me four years ago, I never would have thought I’d be supporting
a Democratic candidate for president. That’s because in 2004, I was active
in the College Republicans, working to get Bush and Cheney re-elected.
Since then, I’ve grown disheartened and frustrated with the leadership of
the Republican Party and the failures of the Bush administration. But Barack
Obama has inspired me to believe in politics again and, most importantly,
to believe in the power of the ordinary citizen to
work for change.
I’m so excited that I’ll be joining him backstage, but you don’t have to
be going to the convention to be a part of this moment. You can join your
fellow Buckeyes at a Convention Watch Party to watch Barack’s acceptance speech
and celebrate how far we’ve come.
There are watch parties happening all over the state and they are a great
opportunity to meet fellow supporters and keep building our movement in Ohio
through election day. Sign up to attend an event and be part of this moment:

It was so exciting to volunteer for the campaign during the primary in Ohio,
and I don’t have to tell you how important Ohio is in the general election.
To win in November, we’ll need to register thousands of new voters, and reach
out to as many new supporters as possible in just a few short weeks.
At the Convention Watch Parties, you can help plan canvasses, phone banks,
and other volunteer activities in your community to make it happen.
I finally feel like America has found a leader it can look to and trust.
We can win this election and make things better for all Americans. But it’s
going to take all of us working together.
I hope you’ll be a part of the moment and come together with your fellow
Buckeyes to work for the change we need:
