Amenya,

Such a defeatist attitude is what is really bringing all of us down.

A meeting sound nice and very good but have you ever tried calling on this guys to have a sitting with them?

How many forums have to be held for these people to know what they are doing is wrong? You do not have to be told walking around naked is bad for you to know its common sense so they know and they watch news everyday and they know that people are suffering but because their lot is flying around the world first class using our tax money and getting fuel for their vehicles do you think they would look at you twice?
they do not feel the pinch of the economy, me and you are the ones suffering.

The whole of Bidii Africa cannot fit into that one room and i have seen action in our campuses being taken because of the mass power. We can send a delegation to them but they will not relay the same message as we as a group of thousands would pass through the petition and/or Mass action.

Iwould rather we go Shabana Osman’s way first via petition and if this fails in the stipulated time frame we go ahead and pack the streets.
I may sound mad but i am willing to go on the streets to be heard and see change happening. Nothing comes easy and as i have stated earlier on i am tired of all this whining and doing nothing.

Be a fighter and you saying that a “a prudent discussion will make them see the need to be like other kenyans?” Thats laughable because thats supposed to be an inherent thing not one that one accrues as time goes by. Just like a personality you cannot acquire one because i have spoken one or two sweet things.

If you call them leaders, they should have had this “need” from day one of stepping into that house and change all the laws that were oppressive to the wananchi’s.

Dont go there, we are much better than that now is not the time to start having coffee’s with the enemies because if my MP -Hon Nguyai was really thinking of me, our Kikuyu roads would not have been so poorly done by a shoody contractor right under his nose, We would not be having water problems right in the village, thugs would have been a case of yesterday and need i mention our police Station in kikuyu? All you have to do is get robbed and you will pay the cops for real.

“News just in…..Helloooooooooooooooo you are bugging them, they are not supposed to be bothered….. .”

Kind regards,

Wangari Njuguna

I am from Kikuyu; I want to approach Hon Nguyai and challenge him to send a
cheque to the Commissioner of domestic Taxes at the end of this month for
his PAYE; if we attack the Mps individually they will all follow suit, My
Parents voted in Mathioya and I want Hon. Wambugu to Pay tax too!
Anyone who have Hon. Nguyai and Hon Wambugu’s Email Addresses!
A case of Divide and Rule.

Wangari,

I too am ready to go into the streets and be counted among the rest. Can each one of us first start with their MPs? Mine is Olago Aluoch in Kisumu Town West. Does someone have his email address? We need to get to our MPs and let them know our concerns. We elected them and therefore, we can tell them what we think. In some countries like South Africa, there is the option to recall an MP. If we had this facility here in Kenya, then MPs would be toeing the electorate line and not their own agenda. They are so fat in Parliament that I hardly hear them talking about the woes of their constituents.

Some of them have the audacity to say that they bribed their way into Parliament and therefore, they are there to recoup and make money after working so hard to earn the seat. It is of course, our fault that this happens but there is always a time when the chickens come home to roost. Civic education and poverty eradication is something the MPs will definitely not want to take root in our country. We must be able to tell our people that collecting hongo from aspiring candidates does not give us the moral authority to censure them when they are in eating mode in parliament.

  1. AKECH

    Amenya, Wangari and Joce,

Tribalism and Ethnicity are trick that have been used by the power brokers and exploiters for centuries and very successfully.

We witnessed ordinary poor Kenyans killing, burning and brutalizing one another with machetes, clubs bow and arrows last spring while the people we were fighting and dying for sat secure in some luxury hotels.

Then came the reconcilliation talks by Kofi Annan. Not one poor Kenyan was represented at these talks and up to now, nobody other than these bossos know what was discussed to date!

It has return to business as usual. It is what these bossos do that indicates the kind of respect they give to ordinary people who died after casting their votes for them with enthusiasm,

The change expected to trckle down from the bossnen has not and will never trickle!

These people represent themselves and foreign corporations and governments who conrol their lives and pocket books.

THE ONLY CHANGE THAT WILL BE EFFECTIVE IS THE ONE THAT WILL START WITH THE PEOPLE WHOSE NECKS ARE BEING STEPPED ON BY THESE BOSSOS, THE SUFFERING PUBLIC. TO ACCOMPLISH THIS, THEY POOR PUBLIC DOES NOT HAVE TO BE VIOLENT. ALL IT NEEDS TO DO IS TO ORGANIZE AT GRASS ROOT LEVELS AND COMMUNICATE WITH ONE ANOTHER BY WORD OF MOUTH. GO DOOR TO DOOR.

WHEN THE NEXT ELECTIONS COME, LET THEM KNOW WHO IS THE BOSS BY ASKING THEM WHAT THEY HAVE DONE TO MAKE YOUR LIVES BETTER. BOOT THEM OUT.

THERE IS NO POWER GREATER THAT BOTTOM-UP ORGANIZATION. BUT ONLY IF THE PEOPLE AT THE BOTTOM UNITE AND CLAIM THEIR POWER TO ELECT ONLY THOSE PEOPLE WHO CAN MAKE TANGIBLE DIFFERENCES IN THEIR LIVES!!

THE COUNTRY CANNOT CONTINUE IN THE PATH WHERE THERE ARE NO ROADS, HOSPITALS, DISPENSARIES, CLEAN WATER OR SEWAGE WHILE THESE BOSSOS CLAIM ECONOMIC GROWTH. YET YOU SEE LUXURY HOTELS AND RESORTS CENTERS ALL THE COUNTRY, TOURISM IS BOOMING.

HAVE YOU EVER ASKED YOURSELVES WHO OWNS THESE LUXURIOUS LOFT HOTELS? tHESE ARE THE PEOPLE WHO OWN THE COUNTRY.
