Re: MANAGING (Eradicating) CORRUPTION IN KENYA

The subject line of this topic made me think, though the point is home, do we really want to manage corruption in Kenya. How about ERADICATING CORRUPTION IN KENYA.
My contribution: Leadership in Kenya is root of all corruption. We got to change the leadership, end impunity whereby a corrupt individual will not come to hide in “Our community is targeted”, and seal the loopholes in the laws of Kenya.

Everybody has to be willing to fight the vice. Everything comes with a price. Malcolm and Martin Luther paid the price to free the blacks in America from discrimination. We all have to go public when we face corrupt people in the service delivery. We can choose forego services if we must bribe.

The problem is because corruption makes things “easier” for the minority haves, but trickles down to hell for the majority “have nots.” The law must also be efficient such that the corrupt can walk to the gallows like the Illinois governor who is getting impeached for trying to sell the Obama’s senate seat to the highest bidder.

If the law was crafted and enforced without favor, fear of it will make corruption melt like cheese.

Sincerely,

Kibara, Amos wa Muthoni
