I’ve watched the Kenya’s Prime Minister Raila Odinga Perfom his duties since last year and i can comfortable conclude that the Once Kenyan Democratic fighter is Fizzling out quickly. I know he worn elections on clear platform and quickly consented to power sharing deal with Kibaki after finding the alternative of sitting in the house at the hill impossible for him. The Raila I knew is not the Raila I know today. He commanded both clear Organizational and Functional skills but today, the fellow now commands organization Skills without Noticeable Functional skills. He is dead!!

Before the onset to the historical rejection of the Raila worn elections, Kenyans had very high hopes in Raila. He lost faith in Our courts and his pushed for Justices outside the Judiciary which led to the formation of the Grand Cartel instead of the Government. This was his beginning to stiffle with the legal instituitions and procedures. Look at this carefully, Dec 2008 He verbally declared the death of MOCO- The Mumias Out-growers Campany. The MOCO had had protracted wars with the Mumias sugar management whose MD is his Distant cousin Kidero. Today MOCO that was formed by the act of parliamrent has decided to invade the Sugar cane farms; buying canes in the farm and selling that straight to other millers. The results of these are going to be disastrous in long run as Mumias will lack canes and cannot sue the Farmer because its MOCO that sealed the contract with the farmer and not the company. Recently we had Kidero declare another round of losses to the Company??

Secondly, on his campaign trail in Busia, He boldly promised the Busia farmers a Sugar Factory. His ODM party hold the dockets of Industries, Regional Development and Agriculture- Very Key ministries In reviving the stalled Busia Sugar. He seem to have forgotten his words. Why did he disband MOCO when the same was ceated by the ACT of parliament that has not been amended!! He rescinded the decision by Agriculture minister last year to suspend Kidero! By the way Kidero has created A tribal Dynasty at Mumias Sugar not even comparable to Equity Bank.

At The Kenya Football, Nothing different. Its not enough to go to stadiums, Support AFC Leopards, Gor Mahia And Harambee Stars and even Hire a failed German Coach for the team when there in no football in the country. Why does The Premier support a private Firm to Run football in the country when even FIFAs act does not allow such. Simple, Hatimy the shareholder of FKL contributed to his campaigns. The premier had the best manifesto for running this country and i wonder a Man like him convening a Meeting called the Kenya we want. The act of Parliament is very clear about the Federations & Assocations, They cannot be run by a private company that bases its ownership to the shares as its with FKL- Football Kenya Limited. He knows this?
The worst is the Raila,s pesistence with the good performance of the Government!! He does not understand that Kibaki is Loosing nothing!!! The Failures are becoming his spoils. I wondered how he agreed with Kibaki to table the FLAWED constituitional bill that could be challendged in court in terms of its Legality to form a local tribunal. Why is he developing faith in the Kenya Judiciary again when he did not trust them when petitioning His stolen Victory?

The government has tactfully isolated him from the people by plotting terror threats against him. This is illogical as it will isolate him from the people and keep him concerned about his personal security and forget what he has been fighting for. This hatched scheme will completely paralyse his open channels he has had with people and consequently loose his popularity. He needs to excercise caution with the so called Military choppers he is going to use because a sacrifice scheme will be hatched and accident created.
Its time the Premier tells Kibaki the truth at this early stage because his resignation will mean Fresh election that will mean Kibaki also goes back to Othaya. Kibaki is best handled by threats and paying the lipservices to the disgruntled Kenyans will pay dearly to his side. His popularity in the Luhya Land is waining and this impatient community might not quarantee him the support again!! This is mainly to his indecissive nature. He is not cracking a whip. He forms commissions to investigate where there is even clear incidences. ODM commissions, Foreign Investigators, Sub- Cabinet committee and so on.

My friend PM? Wake up to the ocassion or therwise you are in for a rude shock. Lead the way or quit this government the earliest otherwise your trusted Magician has outlived his usefulness to you.

GOD IS MY SHEPHERD.

Kenyans can finally understand that Raila has after all since his first day in Parliament never been a leader but a selfish politician with interests that benefit only himself and his nuclear and extended families. He has all along interefered with elections in his province of Nyanza, choosing his relatives and political sycophants so he can control them and to also help him fight his political wars. Wonder not why Nyanza, a region with very fertile soils (but have never seen the government exploiting these for expansion of or the MPs demanding supplies of seeds and inputs for cereals and tubers farming), a great source of fish both for local and export market and a large skilled human resource has continued to lag behind and remain underdeveloped, and this is despite the irony that it is the only province that boasts intellectuals of every profession.
And who says Raila has forever been in the opposition side and so his being powerless to initiate any change he believes is good for his home region and Kenya in general? He was been powerful even before he entered Parliament in 1992; remember the 1982 attempted coup. His words have always been that powerful that even children do get moved but he has remained without credit for any meaningful and practical development anywhere in the country apart from issuing threats whenever he never gets a piece of some cake. Funnily, he’s more of a government spokesman and messenger than a true PM in the coalition government.
Yet, if he really were a businessman, what business does he own because the Kisumu Molasses plant is in fact owned by the people of Kisumu who donated the parcel of land and in broad daylight bought shares there but to date have earned no dividend! Besides, the molasses project was an idea of Dr. Ouko but because of his endless greed, he jumped into the enterprise after winning favour with Moi. It was corruption at the plant that cost Ouko his death. Nyanza has never had leaders as Dr. Ouko and Tom Mboya who believed in empowering the people through advancing their educational and economic potentials and capacities and their initiated projects stand and benefit the people to date.
Furhermore, who says his credit has been his steadfastness in fighting corruption and for good governance when he owns jointly with Kibaki the much-publicized Laico Regency Hotel while his son Fidel and his aide Caroli Omondi were the ones siphoning maize to Sudan! Is it a surprise that the subsidized maize flour never reached Kisumu where he earned a million plus votes for his candidature as president and which also saw the people of Coast boiling unripe mangoes for food! Wasn’t ODM the party that campaigned on the platform of eliminating corruption and bringing food prices down but which is the one now defending its corrupt party members whom the public knows better than even the media that they are corrupt with some having funded and seeing the massacres of fellow helpless Kenyans for selfish ends? These Kenyans who are now losing lives and crying of hunger are the same ones who fought whichever way how for ODM to get power, with some of their relatives being shot in public with live bullets; do we forget so fast like this? And didn’t ODM also promise to strengthen and protect media freedom and increase teachers’ salaries and employing more, besides creating more employment opportunities? Yet, wasn’t affirmative action promised for women, youth, Muslims and the disabled? ODM has lost its goodwill and mandate and its members should NOT be allowed anywhere to hold rallies lest they meet the anger of those whose dreams and hopes they have killed; they ought to be stoned, their cars, homes and corrupt businesses torched for insulting, impoverishing and causing deaths to their supporters, families and citizenry.
Remember the Kisumu massacre; not even Raila himself and no ODM member has yet demanded compensation to those who lost their relatives and no victims’ homes are being rebuilt as is happening in Rift Valley and Central and no Kenyan MP including the President, Prime Minister and VP has ever gone there to console the bereaved families despite being in leadership for one year now. Really, on anything, Nyanza has been neglected first by the region’s political, education, business, media, health, sports and agriculture leaderships and professionals and the same should not be ones to accuse the govervement or anybody of underdeveloping the region; truth be told. Kisumu sadly is a city of hawkers vendoring polythene bags, toiletry, handfuls of drugs and sweets, not to mention the dominance of bodaboda cyclists, the Raila-selected Mayor too ironically being a businessman.
Have you ever heard any of the region’s MP speaking on behalf of their constituents in Parliament and or demanding some development for their constituencies? Have you also ever heard or seen any of the MPs introducing new marketable crops for generating employment and income for the region with market and trade details? What new industry has been started in Kisumu or the region if development is really their concern, yet the region’s MPs are the among the most studied who should in fact be applying their tested theories if any to actual development! Really, what practical development do Orengo, Prof. Nyong’o, Prof. Olweny, Dr. Oburu (and this includes the eternally blameful Dr. PLO Lumumba) boast and are known or credited for given their credentials and years in strategic local (and overseas) positions? And is it not a surprise that Nyanza is the only region that has no female MP; Prof Oduol and Rozaah Buyu were rigged out through the democrat Raila and his ODM in favour of Edwin Yinda and Olago Aluoch respectively, and this happens every election year.
Unless and until the Odinga dynasty is killed and this MUST be done this election year, including voting out all the 21 cry MPs, will the region wake up and realize true democracy and development.
