What is the Ministry of Internal Security doing to see that all lives and lands in Kenya are protected? It is a sorry state that Migingo issue have been disturbing Kenya and the Ugandan authorities for quite a long time.

Four years in record, Kenyans living along Migingo and other highlands have been suffering in the hands of Ugandan Soldiers as if they are not represented by the same Government, what worries is that they also pay tax just like other people in Kenya and am left wondering why when it comes to things that pertains or are perceived to come from western are not dealt with the way others are dealt with.

These highlands have been sources of livelihoods to many people who live along the shores, the more than 500 fishermen are now suffering and their Government is mum, they are even claiming what is obvious! We have relatives that live near Migingo and it is true that angry fishermen blocked Migori D.C because he had gone there to withdraw the security he had taken there in less than 24 hours.

Why was the Kenyan flag taken to the Highland and then removed almost immediately? Is Migingo sold so that we leave it to the Ugandans? Why was the security brought here if it was not going to last and do the jobs that they were taken to do? Why hasn’t the Head of State spoke of the issue since he took over the Government? If the highland is sold to the Ugandan, why cant people living in the highland be told to take Ugandan I.D’s so that they live with the Ugandans law?

What is remaining of Kenya? Has it all been sold? We hear of Estleigh, Laico and many other properties being sold in Kenya and we are left wondering what is left of Kenya? May be we will someday rise up to hear that we have also been sold with Kenya in the near future.

U. People Defence Force is flying in our territories vandalizing the peace that we have had for long and our soldiers are just sleeping in the barracks instead of going out there to defend our soil? Mseveni anatunyang’anya nchi yawa?
