from neto agostinho

The Kenya Youth League and Good Samaritan International Would like to pass their message of heartfelt Condolence to the family and friends of the Victims of Police Killings in Lessos town in Nandi county this morning.

We would like to appeal to the residents of Lessos in Particular and the other residents of Nandi County to remain calm in light of the Police shootings.

We do not appreciate these Police shootings, one who first shot and Killed a motor cyclist provoking the police invasion by residents occasioning the subsequent shootings at the Police station.

We would like to condemn the shootings in the strongest terms possible and we request the Police commissioner to carry out expeditious investigations and tell the Nation the circumstances under which the shootings took place. We plead that the shootings should not be given any tribal undertones whatsoever.

We would like to warn local leaders, Politicians and any residents of Nandi County not to use the said shootings to engage in any acts of hate speech that would farther aggravate the situation. The Kenya Youth League and Good Samaritan International will be on the look out for any parties who would choose to aggravate the situation to deny the residents of Nandi County in particular and Kenyans in general peaceful co-existence.

We would like to caution all leaders Local and National to exercise restraint in their speech especially at this time of Confirmation Charges hearing at the Hague as any uncalled for speech with heavy tribal intonations would trigger unnecessary conflict that we do not need as a country.

We will be happy to work with the National Cohesion Commission to prosecute any such persons who would choose to blow these shootings out of Proportion. Long Live National Cohesion, Long Live Kenya,
