Fellow Kenyans,

Most of you may be aware of the demise of Professor Wangari Maathai on Sunday the 25th September 2011. Her death is untimely and a great loss to our country Kenya and the world at large. She inspired many of us through her commitment to conservation, democracy, women’s empowerment, the eradication of poverty and civic engagement.

For those wishing to express their condolences on the passing of Professor Maathai, a condolence book has been opened at the Kenya High Commission office, Kacyiru. You can visit and sign during the normal working hours.
