Kenya: Ohuru Departs Amid Drama!!!

From: Tebiti Oisaboke

The controversial MP for Makadara constituency deserved the treatment he received at JKI Airport on the night Ohuru Kenyatta departed for the ICC’s confirmation hearings. The young man has a tendency of using force and his role as an MP to demand preferential treatment whenever he goes. If you conduct and walk around like a wild animal, don’t expect special treatment in return. All he had to do was to abide with what the law keepers were telling him to do and control his rogue supporters and sentries and his recognition could have been honored. He didn’t have to physically show up at the airport from his hospital bed propelling himself on crutches just to bid farewell to his buddy when Jr was just a phone call away. Their supporters are clearly heard threatening the inspector who was manning the departure entrance that they have seen and marked him. Why would someone threaten a senior civil servant who is conducting his official duties according to the law? All his entourage needs to be rounded up and charged with threatening civil servants on duty. They didn’t even respect the government badges or state crown. They were all pushing, pulling and shouting at the officers like they were nothing to them. All this time, Sonko, Kabogo and Waititu stood stuck mum without any attempt to control their paid supporters. Such kind of behavior needs to be curtailed from locations such as Int’l airports which are our external gateways. These chaps need these kind of showoffs at their constituencies away from Kenya’s foreign guests. This could easily lead to a grievous security glitch at the airport whereby a terrorist might sneak through the security check points and cause a mayhem in Jr’s plane when its in the high seas. And Kenya could be transformed into a 1994 Rwanda just because of three fame searching elements. These chaps need to be trained on how to conduct themselves as public leaders.
