USA: Word smithing a 1st Amendment Pledge

How would you improve this 1st Amendment pledge, written to remind one of the Pledge of Allegiance?

Our 1st Amendment Pledge

I pledge to gather
with my neighbor
in weekly peaceable assemblies
and to freedom to have
conversations that matter
strong public government
caring and effective
to protect and empower us all.

Caring citizens communicating American values are the solution to expanding liberty and justice for all,

I pledge to gather often with my neighbors
to strengthen the bonds between us
by discussing issues of public governance
that protect and empower us all.

    Hi:

A post on this site, with link given below, stems from early notes about an allegiance pledge being considered by Caring Citizens in Dayton Ohio USA. It was planned to be read publicly at the Occupy Dayton location.

That post also links an interview profiling the beginnings of Occupy Wall Street via an alternative media published interview of one of the co founders in NYC.
