With works which covered a spectrum of science fictional themes, from dragons used to save agriculture from pests (the Pern series), to a singing starship (The Ship who Sang novel and sequel(s)), Anne McCaffree will be fondly remembered. I got to meet here in person once on the occasion in which she was author guest of honer at one of the annual Science Fiction Worldcons in USA.
