AIDS Rights; We are a grassroots NGO in China, concerning the health and survival of poverty-stricken sex workers.

From: Kun Chang

Dear friends,

We are a grassroots NGO in China, concerning the health and survival of poverty-stricken sex workers. We advocate sex workers’ rights in China, including their right to work. Our work as such is not supported in China.

We need funding for a new campaign, and we hope to gain your support.

This campaign is called: Postcards from The Red Umbrella.

We are going to mail postcards and tell people that sex workers also have human rights.

Since 2005, the red umbrella has been the symbol of people around the world who are concerned about the rights of sex workers.

We are going to tell conservative civil servants and other conservative people in Chinese society that it is important to eliminate discrimination against sex workers and respect their rights.

Ours is an entirely non-profit orgnization.

We campaigned on the street for the legalization of sex work in 2009, here are news links about us, including an article from BBC:

We are in need of funding to print and mail the postcards.

Our preliminary estimate is 10,000 dollars, for sending 10,000 postcards.

Our contact information is as followed. Your help is very much appreciated.
