Subject: Welcome to New Members

Hello to the KCA family

A special welcome to all our new members. The newest three members are Kenyans who are based in Norway, Tanzania and the USA respectively. Also, I encourage the old members to make our new colleagues feel welcome.

Indeed, expect our online discussion forum is going to witness increasingly robust debate on all issues affecting Kenya and Kenyans and while at it please let us exercise civility at all times. All new members may join the online discussion forum at

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/kca_main/

Old members are also reminded to visit our website www.kenyansabroad.org
and register/update your details. We are updating our membership list so please make sure you are not left out. Some of your contact details may have changed. So, please hurry and update your information. We do not want you to miss out on the goodies when they start coming.

For those few who are still sceptical please note that Mzee Nelson Mandela was absolutely right when he warned that we should “never to underestimate the power of a people’s resolve”. We are determined to take KCA to the next level and ask invite all Kenyans of goodwill to join in and make your individual contribution. It is only by being united as a nation that we can make a difference and regain our respect in the world. Our unity out here will translate into unity in Kenya. Our division out here will do no good to the divisions that choking our people, politics, society at home. And, yes umoja ni nguvu. United
we stand, divided we fall.

Last but not least. KCA should be a platform where all Kenyans can meet and enjoy balanced debate on all social, economic and political issues in Kenya. KCA should never EVER be used as a platform of tribal or partisan agendas. No. Not now and not in future. The membership and leadership all have a role in making sure that this principle is maintained at all times.

We will post regular updates on where we are at and what we are doing while we continue with our march to reach out to Kenyans across the world. This great organisation should be represented wherever the Kenyans Diaspora is to be found.

We plan to include a writers’ corner on our website where we will showcase publications by Kenyans. Exciting times are ahead.

Ahsanteni nyote na Karibu nyote.

Dr Kanaka Ogendi
for KCA Executive Committee

P.S. Please spread the word and encourage your friends and their friends to join us.
