African nations stretching from Guinea-Bissau to Somalia are subject to war, coups, and large-scale demonstrations. These nations face similar economic situations, with failing agricultural markets and booming mining industries. In the 1990s, the IMF and the WTO imposed liberal reforms that battered Africa’s agricultural sector. Meanwhile, after the markets were opened, global elites invested their surplus wealth into African mining commodities, which displaced populations, damaged the environment, and funded militant groups. In response to rising violence in Africa, the US invested more in AFRICOM and justified militarization of the continent at home by invoking outrageous fears of fundamental Islam.

I recently learned that some people with connections to Kenyan politicians were soliciting payoffs( as large as shillings 200,000/=) from some poor parents of unemployed Kenyan young men, telling them they can get them recruited in the army so that they can go fight in Somalia!!
Should this turn out to be true, then Africa has become or is becoming a continent where any unemployed young man with any hope of feeding himself or family will has to sacrifice his life by becoming a soldier in ” the natural resources engineered conflicts” that are become common but only benefit the powerful elites and the foreign interests eager to loot these resources using any means necessary.
The massive unemployment of those African youths with no connection to the powerful African political elites has offered a fertile ground and opportunity for those interested in the recruitment of young African men to become lethal and merciless killers of their own people in order to protect the foreign interests who are exploiting the Africa’s natural resources. African Union has become a vehicle for the recruitment of African killer warriors. The sole purpose of these soldiers is descending upon fellow citizens Africans on demand, at command or both! This armed control is directed squarely on anybody who dares to have an opposing view regarding the inequities and human displacements associated with the exploitation of Africa’s vast natural resources that only benefits a few handpicked powerful elites and the foreign collaborators who work with them. Africans are being slaughtered by fellow Africans and nobody is willing to tell this gruesome story!
Africa is now littered with the youths who have been forced to participate in the gruesome killing of fellow Africans who were once their neighbor of friends, like in Sierra Leone. Some started their slaughter of humans at such tender ages that it will be impossible for them to be normal citizens wherever they are! If an African can be used participate on the elimination of 800,000 fellow Africans in a matter of ninety days (90 days) and does not allow any discussion that would shed light about the truth regarding the events and reasons that led to this atrocity, then SOMETHING IS VERY WRONG WITH AN AFRICAN AS A SPECIE! There is no hope!
