Invitation to participate in the 7th African Economic Conference
TUNIS, Tunisia, October 11, 2012/ — The seventh annual African Economic Conference (http://www.africaneconomicconference.org) takes place in Kigali, Rwanda, from October 30 to November 2, 2012 under the theme Inclusive and Sustainable Development in an Age of Economic Uncertainty. The Conference is organized jointly by the African Development Bank (AfDB) (http://www.afdb.org), the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

This year’s conference will bring together top policy-makers, including several former heads of state, leading researchers and experienced development practitioners from Africa and around the world to discuss critical issues in African development. The Conference will also provide a unique forum for in-depth presentations of policy-oriented research by both established academics and emerging talents from the continent. The Conference will be opened by HE Paul Kagame, President of Rwanda; Helen Clark, Administrator of UNDP; Donald Kaberuka, President of the African Development Bank; and Carlos Lopes, Executive Secretary of ECA.
