Kenya: James Orengo Threatens to Abandon Raila Odinga Over Favouritism Claim

From: Judy Miriga

Folks,

Orengo in practicing his democratic rights should just defeat Oburu outright directly on the ballot box without moving out of ODM… and this stupid behaviour will end. However, I do not see how the elections will be free and fair under such circumstances.

PM Raila should give report of vision 2030. A lot of public finances, loans etc., was put on Vision 2030 without Public Mandate or Policy regulatory protection. In checks and balances, it is about time to take stock, review and determine if public wealth and resources were utilized responsibly with integrity………and ascertain authenticity, feasibility, sustainability of those public funds, loans, stocks and shares with other public resources, facilities and utilities and confirm that nothing has been lost unscrupulously or illicitly or from Ponzi Scheme, Pyramid Scheme or in Hedge Funding.

There are World Bank, IMF, IFAD, AfDB, with other UN loans, Equity funding or facilities etc., of Millions, Billions and Trillions that are suspect of theft or are likely to have been misappropriated or traded illicitly and irregularly and where Checks and Balances including Accountability and Transparency must be clarified………and with otherwise might create unfavorable economic crisis and distress on the public……….

A lot of unconstitutional transactions at the Finance Department are unclear and the Budget does not reflect the true picture of the going ons in Finance Ministry.

People must wake up and must not be taken for a ride any more….It is about time the truth be known……..

This time round, Rao should tred carefully. His word should be his bond “no direct nomination”. If he does the converse, that candidate will fail and so will he

Only the paranoid survive

Orengo has done it before and failed. He stayed in the cooler for 5 years before realizing that in Luo Nyanza you just don’t walk out on RAO, you also walk out of politics or move to another constituency out of Nyanza!
So, let’s all see JO’s next move. May be to TNA?

Is this porojo? is Rao pushing for his brother Oburu? Orengo cannot win that seat on an TNA ticket so he should fight from within.

James Orengo Threatens to Abandon Raila Odinga Over Favouritism Claim

Raila Odinga apologist James Orengo has threatened to quit the Orange Democratic Movement, in a dispute over alleged favour that the prime minister is pushing for his brother, a source said.

The minister for lands is running for the senate seat in Siaya County, and has said he will not step down for Odinga’s brother Oburu Odinga.

Orengo, also the MP for Ugenya and Oburu, the MP for Bondo have launched their bids for the senate seat.

”Orengo feels that Odinga is pushing for the direct nomination of his brother for the seat. In that case, he will leave the party, probably join The National Alliance of Uhuru Kenyatta,” a source said.

Odinga is keen to see his brother win the nomination and the senate post, the source added.
This duel is exactly the kind that Odinga would not like get himself in, as it will signal the start of unravelling support in his Luo Nyanza, another source said.

Odinga family has dominated politics in Luo-Nyanza for many years.

However, some dissenting voices have started to emerge, threatening to pull the rug under the feet of the prime minister, as he makes the last attempt on the presidency.

Orengo has been a major supported of Odinga – an adviser on legal issues of some sorts – since the premier lost the 2007 election and settled for the post of prime minister. If Orengo fled, it would be just the same script of Odinga’s friends leaving him.
