Dear Ohio MoveOn member,

Governor John Kasich has just appointed the President of Ohio Right to Life, Michael Gonidakis, to the State Medical Board, showing once again that he believes the government should get between physicians and their patients.

The Medical Board’s job is to license and regulate the medical profession—not to foster one particular ideological perspective within the Board’s activities, opinions, and rulings.

That’s why I created a petition on SignOn.org to Governor John Kasich, which says:

The last thing we need to do is inject divisive, single-issue politics into the regulation of medical practice in Ohio. Please withdraw the appointment of Ohio Right to Life President Mike Gonidakis to the State Medical Board.
