BEST ADVISE: SAFARICOM TERRIBLE

Dear All,
I have seen so many complaints about safaricom, starting from their Modem, Bonga Points, Dividends etc. I can not believe that nobody has complained. Is there is nothing wrong?

Do you believe that i had accumulated bonga points worth 8000? I lost my phone and then my only option immediately was safaricom, because they could redeem the points, and give me a phone for 7000 to enable me to be on air. Kumbe more sufferings.

When i went to them, they gave me two options. One, to take a phone worth 5000 points, or one for 7000 points. You would agree with me that the higher the cost of anything on earth, the better the product. I opted for the 7000 points 4n. Do you believe i was given a dead phone?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

When i took back the phone on Monday, they checked it and then gave me a paper to fill out, so that they could check what exactly is the problem with the phone. Before i left, they told me that they would call me immediately. To date nobody has ever called me, so i wonder.

Does safaricom stock bad phones for bonga points?????????????????????????????????????????

This issue has taken two weeks since i lost my phone. Nobody from safaricom has ever bothered to call me. Can you give me the best advise?????????????????????????

It is terrible while these guys are minting money like nobody else on earth.

Sambaza.

    I thought am the only one wondering about Sfcom and the fake offers, like the modem 200 for 24hrs?? I have tried several times and after about an hour it goes off! Sometimes even less.

    Anyone had the luck of 24 hours? Am curious to know.

    Hi All,

    Am back again. I think I am either ignorant or a victim of Safaricom Fraud.
    I am back from Dadaab by the way.

    This morning on my way to my neighbour’s wedding(as a dere), I made a stopover at Nairobi West to have the car decorated. I proceeded to purchase a card for Kshs 100 (apparently jinxed). Unfortunately I could not be able to load it. Kept on getting this error, “Recharge Failed, Please try again later”. Upon calling Safaricom, I was asked for the serial number and was told that the card hasnt been activated yet.

    I mean this is crap. I bought a card and am being told it hasnt been activated yet. How am I supposed to know the cards that have been activated. I have to wait for close to over 24hours for that to be done.
    Doesnt Safaricom have a way of automatically activating the cards once they are dispatched for sales?

    To me, something just doesnt add up, hence my question. Is Safaricom masking up a bigger problem with these lame excuses, using elaborate procedures which seem to buy the company time?

    hi Ben

    what I think is that safaricom have got too many customers n i guess they are being overwhelmed. something like that.

    Same thing happened to me, Bought a card tried loading and it kept telling me error. Tried calling 100 and as usual busy.

    Called very early in the morning was told they have a problem with the system, the lady took the serial number and told me, the card has been requested by my number, so what i was to do is to keep trying to load but was not successful, so tried calling 100 again and when at last got through same stuff was told by the guy and was even promised that they will load the card on my phone but never happened, so i kept tyring to load the card till i managed and that was like after 4days. wasnt happy but i have used safaricom for a long time. So safcom should do something

    Why don’t you guys move? There are at least 3 other networks in Kenya all of them offering excellent services at very good prices. Don’t let Safcom take you for granted!

    My latest worry on scom is the way they have cheated people on the SUPA ONGEA tariff,that offer does not exist and if it does, it must be on odd hours.

    New upcoming companies are rolling out genuine airtime tariffs upto kshs.6/ and these are underdog companies.

    What of the latest bamba 5/ airtime card whereas they charge shs8/ per minute.

    Michael Joseph is failing Kenyans and shareholders this time round, or is it because we are peculiar?.

    Sophie Ngugi…..mine is a success story with the 200 per day offer.

    During the period for the offer i was able to download about 3gb of data per day. This only worked for me since i was near their base station/mast that enabled me to get very impressive 3g speeds.

    Personalty am not a fan of safaricom. You could try orange 3g modem. It’s quite impressive. Or just buy a Zain modem, which is cheaper. Unlock it for 500 and use all other networks simcards with cheaper bundles.

    Orange and Zain have both applied for 3g licences….with all these complaining customers i think the future is worrying for safaricom and bright for Zain and orange.

    Those of you who want to unlock your modems you can mail me with your request at unlocksolutionskenya@gmail.com

    Am really happy that some people have risen up to the occasion. Safaricom has turned to be a mediocre company offering mediocre services. I don’t know why other Kenyans cannot just ditch this company and opt for others that offers the same services in an excellent way?

    Shame on you M.J.

    Safaricom must be the first company in the world to allow transfer of loyalty program points earned. Kudos to Safaricom!!!.

    This has created opportunities for Safaricom subscribers to trade in Bonga Points more or less like shares. Thanks to Safaricom, now:

    * You can sell bonga points to us;
    * You can buy bonga points from us;
    * You may take a short loan of bonga points;
    * You may deposit bonga points with us at an interest (of bonga points).
    * You may get a loan of Kenya Shillings with your bonga points as security.

    As our gratitude to Safaricom for creating the opportunity, we only pay via Mpesa.
