Folks,
What is Museveni and his police doing at Migingo, Kenya’s Rocky Island in Kenyan Territory? This is territory invasion and abuse. He, Museveni, is Trespassing and has Transgressed consequence of Treasonary charges, including performing Crime against Humanity at Migingo.
Kenya’s Coalition Government has failed to put its house in order, and to protect its people from acts of invasion, and from providing security to protect its Citizens.
Security is a fundamental rights to all Citizens. This kind of situation can only happen in a Failed State. Kenya has protrayed itself in many ways as a Failed State, requiring an urgent Interim Government instituted, as well as Museven to face charges at ICC in the Hague, for invasion and intrusion in Kenya with wanton killings.
He has committed Violation of Human Rights, using his policemen to harass and kill Kenyans from Migingo. He must pay for all lives he has killed in Kenya. His mission is to continually and illegally hold Migingo at ransom, so he can slowly and surely kill, and eventually wipe out Luos in Nyanza. This must stop immediately. He must unconditionally vacate MIGINGO.
We people, must develop a wall to protect our poor helpless people at Migingo, and push for cases such as these. We must not allow to be tramped on and be made a laughing stock. We must flash out Museveni, and place him where he belongs, and make sure he gets a room at the Hague as soon as possible.
Museveni is polluting life at Migingo. He is a sneaky poisonous and dangerous human-kind-animal. We must, at all cost, keep him at bay. The more he sneakily maintains his stay at Migingo, the more he pollutes the environment there. He is an environment pollutant.
The whole world must condemn in principle, and DEMAND for environment protection by sending him to Hague. This kind of animal is no good around human habitation.
Thanks,
Judy Miriga

Migingo is part of Uganda, they can have it , nothing to waste Kenyans time with,. It’s a slab of rock, not even an acre big, packed with rusty metal shacks, heaps of garbage, glassy-eyed fishermen and squads of prostitutes, essentially a microslum i.e another KIBERA
Museveni can put all his misery on that piece of rock which Kenyans have no interest in. And for the fact that Museveni hates the Luos, is why he sticks his miserable unlearned head in Migingo.
People who take power with force always leave with force. I don’t hate or have a problem with Ugandans, but just their Leader, who has a big mouth to abuse the luos. Shame on you.
GEEKS<LUO IN SWEDEN
JANYACKACH
What ever you are calling yourself today, people like Kyeuni should be banned from posting at this website because they don’t add or contribute anything intelligent to this social forum.
I don’t know which rock Kyeuni has been hiding under!!. It is not the size of Migingo Island, or economic conditions on this remote Island that is in dispute, and why Kenya should not protect its territory!. If you had half brain to understand territorial integrity concept..I would devote time to explain to you why Migingo Island is critical to Kenya international territorial borders. However, with your shallow knowledge of understanding international law on “territorial integrity”, I will defer to make fun of your post on this subject!.
Where do you Kyeuni get the idea that Migingo Island belonged to Uganda?????. Is this something you just pull out of your ass by insulting the Kenya residents on this Island???????. The two countries have spent substantial amount of money into demarcation and survey of this Island. The last time I checked Uganda was backing off from the results of the joint survey, so it is kind of funny to hear your declaration of this Island to Uganda!!!.
Thank you for being the master of the obvious in your description of the Island. If your main point is : “Slums, garbage..dumps, glassy eyed fishermen,.. prostitutes are not worth protecting, then 2/3 (two thirds) of Kenya territorial with same characteristics should be conceded to external powers like Uganda, as Migingo Island.
I rise to support and join Ms. Judy on her call to remind Kenya people ..to protest this outright invasion of Kenyan Island by Uganda’s Museveni. Some of us have written multiple articles on this subject. I hate to say, but some of our predictions have come true. In the past, “we said” Musevinin was lying to Mr. Kibaki that this dispute will be solved peacefully…you remember Zambia meeting between the two leaders on this matter!.
On Migingo Island, Mr. Kibaki has failed to protect Kenya citizens. Daily abuse by Uganda forces on Kenya citizens is outright violation of human rights. Yes, there may be ” glassy- eyed fishermen”, according asshole Kyeuni, but no one should lose sight that these people are Kenya citizens being persecuted by a foreign power in Kenya territory.
You Kyeuni should not forget about this basic fact! It is up to all Kenyans to ask and demand the results of the joint survey that was to solve this dispute. You Kyeuni, you may have the right to express your opinion, BUT you have zero facts on Migingo Island dispute between these two countries, so you should just shut up!!!!!!!!
J Kyeuni,
Kibera, being a slum is ours still! Nobody is to exchange anything of theirs, that you deem valuable! We would not even want anything else. In Kibera, there are my friends and brothers, certain humans classified as ” Kenyans! ”
What evil did any of the women you term as prostitutes, ever do to you? For your information, the people you renamed, ” glassy-eyed “, are hard working men, with families whom they are trying to get something for! Food, and shelter! don’t you ever miss the essence of their presence on Migingo Island!
The metal shacks are all over Kenya, so what is so unique in Migingo? Get this; no matter how tiny or insignificant to you, the, Rocky Slab. Be it less than an acre, the Island of Migingo is. It is Kenya’s! even the very ” Garbage ” are ours!
Janyackach, you need to examine your facts, man! Museveni is not miserable! A man hosting Queens, and Great Presidents of mighty nations is hardly of the calibre you are stating!
While Kenyan leaders are being barred from traveling, no Ugandan has been! While Kenyan leaders are Robbing their helpless primary children, Museveni is educating his own, get it?
Comparisons do not exist! Uganda is light years away, within such a short span of Museveni’s reign!.
Does he hate Luos? yes, he has not only hated them, from the Northern part of Uganda. He has vanquished and exterminated them! So what are you, as a Luo going to do about it? Nothing! Is President Museveni Miserable and unlearned? Not so!
He is much better, than your own PM, Odinga, or your President, Kibaki! He knows Kenya is a confused, and failed miserable State, led by fools and the citizens have warped minds such as yours. Naturally an intelligent mind like that of Museveni moves in to fill the void!
Who is going to make Museveni to leave by force? Kibaki, Raila, or the Kenyan army? or you have a secret weapon you are about to use? If you have the solution, my friend I am waiting to see it!
Six Kenyan soldiers were shot death by the Toposas of Sudan, when they were inside Kenyan territory, but Kibaki or Raila never uttered a single word! But hey, they were too busy making a swath of Kenyans homeless! Was that not important than, six death fools from poor places such as Migingo rocks?
Who should be ashamed here, my Nyackach friend,Who?
” Kenya’s Coalition Government has failed to put its house in order, and to protect its people from acts of invasion, and from providing security to protect its Citizens. ”
Judy you have answered it all. That in itself tells you that Kenya is to flame! and yes we shall be a laughing stock of the world!
Museveni went to visit the Islands, in Lake Victoria, on the, 10th. of December, 2009.
At Kalangala district, he found out that the local administrators had not finished their water projects, he simply told them by the end of his visit there ought to be running water, as he would open one tap to wash his hands! If there would be no water, people would need to find a safe hide out!
And there was water, running from the taps at the end of the day!
What about Kenya? It is yours to judge! Nothing ever gets done! Leaders, all the way from top, Kibaki Raila to the lowly office messenger are corrupted. Kenya therefore operates in a vacuum of leadership.
So what, is happening in Migingo is a known fact, nobody in Kenya can do any thing!
I wrote to Museveni asking about the Migingo Island.
The reply was that the Island is Uganda’s. And furthermore, the East African countries shall be soon united with no boundaries. Therefore Kenyans should shut up. There has never been any issues with the leaders of Kenya. The issue was the Press and the interest groups!
The PM. Raial Odinga has kept silent! so is the President, Mwai Kibaki. Raila is from the Lake Region and he is too busy with saving Mau trees, and with no helper, he is worn out to fight for such a,
“Slab of rock, not even an acre big, packed with rusty metal shacks, heaps of garbage, glassy-eyed fishermen and squads of prostitutes, essentially a microslum i.e another KIBERA ”
In the words of the quintessential typical Kenyan, J Kyeuni. That is how Kenyan leaders view Migingo!
NDALAT MOSOP
Migingo issue is not a laughing matter and people should know the following:
1) The illegal occupation of Migingo island by Ugandan security forces is not a Luo issue but a national security issue with impacts on economic activities and livelihood of people;
2) Lake Victoria is a shared natural resource between three countries and amicable solutions should be found out within the framework of EAC;
3) In as much as Migingo island is ‘just an acre of rocks’, it is a strategic base for economic activities and security patrols in Lake Victoria;
4) Uganda’s need for a security patrol base over the vast Lake Victoria waters is understandable;
5)Uganda’s unilateral decision to send its security personnel to a neighboring country is however not understandable. Not unless there are some secret agreements we are not aware of, Uganda’s actions betrays lack of appreciation of good neighborliness and the spirit of cooperation within EAC;
6) There is an apparent display of poor leadership on Kenya, Uganda and East Africa over the issue. The president of Kenya has actually failed in one of his primary responsibilities and just like the first lady is, I am frustrated by security and defense apparatus of Kenya;
7) Without a speedy resolution of the issue, many conspiracy theories that have been advanced will gain credibility and that is not healthy for Kenya, not for Uganda and not for the wider East Africa. One such theory is the conspiracy to undermine economic activities of the Luos, and have a base to unleash terror and violence on the Luo.
The lack of patriotism in Kenyans like you see in some of these careless remarks we are seeing about Migingo is what gives people like Museveni courage to act against all international protocols in undermining the sovereignty of Kenya.
People need to mature up and not write the kind of rubbish we are reading from Kyeuni. A single cent lost in an industry whether, camel rearing in North Eastern or fishing in Lake Victoria is an economic loss to the nation.
JD BROWN,
Calm down Brother! No reason to ban any one. What Mr. J Kyeuni, is writing is the mirror of the Kenyan leaders.
You wrote about the topic, some time back, but no one from the PM to the President has done anything. When Kibaki went to Raila’s home for ” Chai ” he mentioned Migingo only to stop those irritating glassy-eyed lake people from spoiling the good slumber and siesta of Big Men! Raila and Kibaki.
Raila come from The area, right? So why has he not done anything? nor said anything? It is because Migingo was sold long time ago by Kibaki.
Uganda was the first to accept Kibaki’s victory in 2007 elections. He went as far as asking for troops to fight for him, when things were getting tighter after the elections. The Ugandan forces did not come for free. Uganda was offered the Island of Migingo and some parts of the Karamoja area. Further more Uganda was given the sole control and monitoring of the whole of the Western Kenyan frontier.
That is why the Ugandan forces have been free to roam deep into Kenyan territory! All the way as far as Kitale.
J Kyeuni knows exactly who owns Migingo, Uganda! If Uganda takes Migingo, who cares? If the President himself does not give a damn, nor even the PM who comes from the neighborhood. Why should Uganda, ( Museveni ) care?
Do you hear anything from Kenyan leaders? No!, so friend leave Kyeuni alone. When Kenyans continue electing, lame cripples, as their leaders, you are going to see Kenya being invaded. It is only that Somalia is chaotic, they would have taken over the whole of the Eastern region.
Ethiopians have always made raiding incursions into the deep interior of Kenya, many a time. But have you heard any one say anything?
People, the Kenyan citizens have cried out loud, but no government has ever come to their aid! Why? There is no government in Kenya! No one cares Mr. Brown.
People are busy looting and those talks about useless Migingo Island, are nuisances! They do not count.
Loud mouthed, and ignorant Kenyans shall be screaming their heads off, well good. Scream as much as you want! Kibaki is not the first nor the only one to sell his people and territory! Nor would he be the last!
Russians sold the territory of Alaska, to the United States. And famously so, the one so called; the great king Solomon, of the Christian Holly Book-Bible. He sold Ten cities ( Towns ) to the King of Tyre, { Lebanon } for trees! Yes trees! ( 1 Kings 9:11 ) These towns were of the standard of Migingo Island, worthless!
Before you people, out there go psycho on, J Kyeuni, blame the Kenyan leaders, first! But then how? they are busy carrying out superior projects, rendering more Kenyans homeless and protecting trees!
If people can loot from their own children, their primary kids! man why would useless people, such as the Migingo Island residents matter?
They do not matter!
TEKERE JELULE
Thank you Mr.TJ…I’ll calm down now!… after your utmost objective lesson on Migingo subject. I was peeved with Kyeuni, not on expressing his opinion, but for manufacturing his own facts on the subject!.
No, I am not suggesting censoring any one on this subject..I made the statement in tongue and chick!.
I don’t have a lot to add on your observation on Migingo transaction, if there was any, between the two leaders!. You may not be far from the truth, because this issue has not been solved as Kibaki promised the country sometime ago!
My main concern is a that country like Kenya, surrounded by unstable neighbor government States, ought to protect its territory and citizens regardless of the size of the land in dispute, economic status and the ethnic make up of people who reside in the disputed region or site. If Migingo is conceded/sold to Uganda, what will prevent other surrounding countries from claiming some other parts of your country????????.
You are on the right track by pointing out the short comings of Kenya leaders on this issue…Again, thank you Mr. Jelule for your neutral/objective analysis on Migingo saga between the two countries.
