Wednesday October 16, 2013 – Kakamega Governor, Wycliffe Oparanya has told Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) supporters to stop mourning and identify a new leader to steer the party to the future.
Speaking at a function in Kakamega County on Wednesday, Oparanya who is among senior CORD lieutenants, said Raila Odinga’s presidential dream is completely dead adding that he is a spent cartridge.
He challenged CORD supporters to reconsider an appropriate replacement of Raila Odinga as soon as possible to prevent the alliance from disintegrating.
“When your child dies you will mourn. After burial, the honourable thing to do is settle down and get another child,” Oparanya said.
“CORD supporters should be steadfast and chart the political destiny of the party,” Oparanya added.
He said Raila Odinga’s third attempt to clinch the Presidency on March 4th failed and it is high time CORD supporters identify a new leader who will attract votes from all the 42 tribes in Kenya.
Pressure has also been mounting on Raila Odinga, who is a seasoned loser, to give way to fresh leadership in ODM.

Why should we not all live in peace and harmony ? we look up the same stars, we are fellow passengers on the same planet and dwell beneath the same sky , what matters it along which road each individual endeavours to reach the ultimate truth ? the riddle of existence is too great that there should be only one road leading us to an answer

MAINA NDERITU AND RAILA AMOLO ODINGA’S POLITICAL DEATH
Just a few questions to you Mr Nderitu:
1. Does your conscience ever bite you being as it should a human being created by almighty God like the rest of us?
2. Do you sincerely believe that the March 4, 2013 election was not officially manipulated in disfavour of RAO?
3. How does your juvenile thoughtless tribal bias help the much needed ethnic reconciliation in our country?
4. Do you not realise that due to the March 4, 2013 state election manipulation no God fearing man or woman will ever again go to the supreme court with any petition in 2017 and thereafter? Where will the preeminent violence then leave you?
5. Why suddenly has RAO’s political health become a skin of your nose?
6. Did you get any lessons from the 2007/2008 PEV?
I am not ashamed to say that you have a lot of bones to pick with almighty God. Good luck!
DR ODIDA OKUTHE.
UNIQUELY KENYAN, UNIQUELY AFRICAN
Our presidents are preoccupied with Uhuru Kenyatta and William Samoei Ruto cases at the ICC. They are indeed totally and loudly silent on the 1300 2007/2008 PEV deaths. During the PEV nearly 50% innocent Kenyans were felled by state police fire. It is victims such as these that the ICC was established. But African leaders at the AU would have us believe to the contrary.
To these African presidents impunity not only guarantees wealth and power but also protects them from crimes against impunity charge at The Hague.
While back at home, in Kenya MP Duale and Cabinet Secretary are kicking hard at the ICC making the world believe that they are sincere in their stand, the truth is they are doing everything to save fellow faith-man Omar al Bashir of the Sudan.
