By CYRUS OTIENO OBUYA, Rangwe
On behalf of all RANGWE youths, we accept and congratulate the RANGWE MP for being in front in searching for employment opportunities for the youths. He first showed this when he stood in the field daylong during police recruitment to ensure that no bribe could influence the process as had been happening previously. We youths, therefore, appeal to those still propagating false and discredited informatiom about him to stop wasting their time and join other youths for developement. We also appeal to donors and various NGOs reading this information to assist our MP in continuing delivering to the youths and the entire constituents. GOD BLESS MARTIN OTIENO OGINDO, GOD BLESS RANGWE.
this is the first time rangwe is getting a visionary leader.Wuo Ogindo, I hope you will be in touch with the constituents on a weekly basis to monitor progress in any meaningful development in rangwe. The world has become a small village, no donor will come to assist , you go after them.Look at what Tuju has done for the short period he was in a position to deliver…i regret that they looked at his party and not his development record.
I pray you break the tradition of a one-term MP in rangwe, your work will apprive you for a second term
Nice to read about some good thing that our new MP did. I do wish everyone in Rangwe all the best. Apart from Ouma Muga, Rangwe has always good representative since the re-introduction of multi-party politics in Kenya.
One issue which the new MP and also our leaders address is education. It certainly make sense to show up at major educational events.
Congratulations to Martin Otieno Ogindo. As a constituent member I want to promise you all the support you will need to make this story sucessful. We started from Marindi primary and you are aware of things that matter to Rangwe people. Education takes lead, followed by healthcare, then security and employment. To jumpstart the process get people together first to think from a common platform. We have very visionary leaders in the constituency capable of spearheading development in the constituency. Include people with integrity in the CDF committees, set up local offices in every sub-location to ensure visibility. Very important as well, we want you to mobilize everyone in Rangwe to rally behind your development initiatives. Rangwe must succeed. We have a youthful representative who comes from humble beginnings and understands the plight of the poor. I, for one am happy that you won this election and I would like to be part of the process of building Rangwe and finding scholarships for young people from Rangwe. We can build new hospitals, atleast one big regional hospital to supplement Homa-Bay Hospital and add multiple clinics in each and every sub-location
When it comes to healthcare in Rangwe, the past MP did a commendable having dispensaries built in almost every location. For example at Wiga in Kanyada there is an idle dispensary. You find the same situation in Namba in Gem East. What needs to be done now, a matter of priority by the MP, is to have medical personnel posted to these health centres before rushing to build additional one.
On education in Rangwe, there is an urgent need for the current leaders to engage people in a kind of discourse to come up with comprehensive ways of uplifting public school. The sort of situation where you have 5 private schools in Rangwe alone has got to be seriously looked into. There are parents willing to pay as much as Ksh. 10000 per year to have their children go to these schools simply because of inadequate teaching staff in our public schools. This ammounts to double wastage when the official government policy is the provision of free primary education.
On the same note, we should work out modalities of having Asumbi Girls High School which is the best female school in Nyanza perform to the same level as for example Bishop Gatimu Ngandu Girls High School in Nyeri. Finally do not forget about Homa Bay High School. I am made to understand it used to be refered to as the university of South Nyanza some year back.
I envy Rangwe constituency. They did it right and the young men therein are living with hope, having a leader they are proud of and identify with. I was robbed victory in Nyatike and my age-mates are lamenting. We will have to wait for five more years to start doing similar developments as currently happens in Rangwe. WE WILL NOT GIVE UP. I have known Hon. Ogindo for long nd beleive he means well for the downtrodden youth. Wish you well in your bids.
HOW CAN YOU SHOWER PRAISE AT THIS MORON, WHO WAS EVEN ABSENT FROM PARLIAMENT THE FIRST DAY AND COULD NOT EVEN VOTE FOR HISTORICAL PRIME MINISTER BILL BECAUSE HE WAS AT……..GUESE?
future mp from kochia
hello chief Anyach
THE FUTURE OF RANGWE CONSTITUENCY NOW LIES IN TWO PEOPLE;CURRENT MP AND HIS PREDESTINED SUCCESSOR 2017,STEWARD KAPIYO.LETS ALL SUPPORT THE CURRENT MP IN HIS WORK AND DO THE REPLACEMENT WHEN THE REAL TIME COMES.STEWARD IS PROMISING REAL CHANGE FOR RANGWE
Kudos to MP Martin Otieno Ogindo for the good work he is undertaking for Rangwe consituents.’Marto’-as the youths call him is reachable by most youths and indeed he addresses their plights unlike former MPs who were only interested in amassing wealth.HONGERA once again and God bless you.
Who called our dear MP a moron???
am glad he was absent from parliament but has kept his door open for his constituents to tackle their problem
good to read so many positive things about our MP am proud to be part of this constituency but let us strive to work together Rangwe made most of us but real work is ahead let the youth pull together because if we dont the arc of moral universe is long but it bend towards justice the same things we fight now will face our children
Dear MP for Rangwe,
Nyanza has a leadership crisis, as you blindly subscribe to the retrogressive ideals of Odingaism at the expense of our brothers and sisters in the village. Our Roads are poor, our education standards are below poor, our healthcare standards are poor. Please abandon Idealism and embrace realism. Kech nego wa, ayaki nego wa, fuwo nego wa, nyithindwa iriembo e skul pile, nyiwa chodo gi mwache mondo gi yud kaka oganda dak, thoo waool wajony gi loch mofuwo mar jalejo. Angomiyo meli mar wuod obama ogow gi dweche pirauchiel mar jalejo to biro gow tich adi.. too tije omiyo manawedene, loch botame rito osiko kaso wa mana gi bayo kite, ayany, gi achaya ne oganda moko.
Hi bwana mheshimiwa. We can’t complain with the way u have handled the development agenda in the constituency. However I feel u should try as much as possible to reach out to the youths in your constituency who are both within and outside the constituency because of other commitments. This is because it won’t be possible to harmonize the projects in the constituency if these guys are left out because they constitute a very large population and mostly they form the bulk of the working class.
I wonder what good things the current MP has done especialy to his constituents. He is not even making efforts to check on the road network in Rangwe,he is never bothered about education and uses his powers to allocate CDF resources to only parts of Kanyada. He should start seing beyond the lights of his car .Infact to be precise he is a disgrace to the young people of Rangwe
pls be the MP for Rangwe not your vilage.
its rare for me to comment onthis website but when i do,there is something worth cmment about. on my previos comment on RANGWE MP, I caled him a real change but some people took advantage to shamelessly view their personal interests. I am still standing for my stand and i hope every person can clearly see he hardwork this MP does on the ground.
Ialso take this opportunity to ask the former MP to sit back and watch the pace of development in Rangwe and stop frustrating the efforts of the current MP for we had given him a chance of which he failed to deliver.
To my fellow youths, I would like to encourag you to back MARTO and shall all realize the realchnge w have always desired.

The leadership of Rangwe constituency is finally solved.
Hon Martin Otieno is the real leader Rangwe has been waiting for. Athough he is facing constant disturbance by his opponents, He has been able to maintain the good pace of developement in the area.
Trully speaking no Rangwe MP has ever been disturbed they they disturb Marto yet most of them failed to deliver. If we get a chance like this, let us make proper use of it through having various developement agenda to forward to him without cryring of neglection.
Otieno Obuya
Let some of the bloggers not lament so much to the current sitting Rangwe member of parliament and some of us have taken it to a personal level. What all of us must take into account is that the challenges and the work is too much that we can not achieve everything in a single election but the much Marto has done is worth commending including, ‘inter alia’: improved road network, improved CDF disbursment and need I mention reduced beurocracy we have witnessed in the former regimes.
Go Marto go we are on your back man.
All these people praising Marto are for sure his fellow villagers. Like him, they dont think beyond the paths of their villages.
Martin Otieno Ogindo the opportunist MP for Rangwe has done nothing but to skew the allocation of CDF funds to his clan Kanyada. I am a shamed that such a youthful MP cannot see beyond his small village.
Where was Martin when allocation of funds for “Centres of excellence” was being done.
Shame on you Martin,we cant wait for the remaining two years of your poor leadership, you think like a villager!
Martin Otieno Ogindo has deserted the constituents, and only supervises the projects being funded with CDF and other devolving government funds via his illiterate cronies.
The disbursement for the CDF cash money for the budgeted projects is being poorly executed by his cronies and sycophants, most of whom are from his clan. They are semi-illiterate busy bodies, who are armed with no elementary education, and know nothing beyond the boundaries of Kanyada.
Would the MP look at Asumbi Girls Leadership. The school has 1000 students plus. This is a big resource. If each student pay a fee of 15,000 per term, you realize that the school has a budget of 15million and over in 3 months. The concern at this point is the priority of leadership. It will be prudent to know the Board meeting that have been held in Asumbi this second and third term and what the outcome were.
One of the prime concern at Asumbi is decision making. The school has sent 4 girls back home, on the basis of “gross misconduct” from early July 2010. the school convened a board meeting to discuss the girls’ conduct, and to date – no decision has been reached. The discussions were held late in night up to 11pm.
Are their better leaders in Asumbi? Are the leaders in Asumbi the people we need?
The Rangwe people should critically look at this problem, including why girls are starved as a punishment. Are the claims made about the two head teachers been thoroughly investigated? Is the Principle always in school and at grasp with school issues?
I want to take Journalist to Asumbi Girls, where do I get them?
You are not serious with your comment, Ogindo has already fail in the exam.We need equity and fairness in the distribution of CDF funds.Ogindo should ignore the hand out Youths and should concentrate in Development in Rangwe.
Another thing we show are Public jobs like during Census where one family was took all the position around Majiwa School. Please! Please!WE NEED equity. Then Our MP will qualify for the next term
Hi Bwana Mjumbe and to all Rangwe Constituents in access to this website,Ogindo is the real change we demanded and lets make use of him instead of koko mang”eny. If there is any slide lets correct him him trough this medium.Kaok kamano jo rangwe an gi wer mar pwoch kod pak ne Mr. Ogindo, akwayo ngat manyalo miya support mondo agol wendni mondo okonya.thax rangwe.(wickyotty@yahoo.com/0712317453)
People earn characters by their continuous behaviours ( needless to say). Judgments based on a single move( which can be accidental or intentional to gauge people’s minds or to see how they will react) is treated as a fallacy. Hon. Ogindo is a hard working man and that’s something we do not need to be told not unless our opperational system “ina kwama kwama”. When it comes to argument, people argue for various reasons and they feel proud when they challenge their opponents using series of propaganda. What am i talking a bout? Mr. Ogindo, the challenges you are faced with from us are not to make your hopes die but to enable you gain insight, prepare you on how to tackle more challenges and above all, to make you work harder. People’s needs cannot be met a hundred percent but… some sense of equal distribution should be seen( to show that some trials have been made). Let’s keep working to develop Rangwe constituency.
ok! people or should I say youths from Rangwe . we have a very good reason to start giving comments that can at all time open roads to implementation of our true needs as per the areas that we come from . lets us give this guy the existing opportunity that can open routes for youth development . for example I have seen teachers go through allot of trouble trying to register students online and to my surprise no even one cyber café is in Rodi . this can not be given a space in the social network . instead of giving reason for not supporting this guy , which again is personal decision. why don’t we put issues that present themselves as challenges to the youths . the change that has come our way is to shy away from our routinely ever complaining youths and start giving out challenges . Ogindo I have one give of an e- resource center at Rodi Kopany .
You should take a bill to the parliament so that Helb can also fund those in tertiary institutions such as colleges, polytechnics etc and not only those in university, that I think you would help many youths if the bill passes. Your work is not bad .
Considering the challenges we face as Rangwe Consituents,we must come up with ways on how to solve them. our MP Mr Ogindo i believe has what it takes to provide leadership and proper use of the resources available in Rangwe consituency. On this note i kindly ask all Rangwe consituents to post only constructive ideas which will help us out of where we are to where we desire to be. It is my conviction that we have a role to play. Thus negative critisism to our mp is but just a misdirected energy.
It is good that we shall have a new constituency. let us work smart
surely fellow constituents, wat r all these praises for? can i guess these are from the MP’s family? martin we elected u hoping for the best but our hopes are doomed by u for not delivering. if this wat i see in rengwe is the so-called gud works of the MP, then i don’t understand how bad works seems. pien onang’i jakababa. tiek term ni mondo idhi iywe.
The next election is un predictable but we have hope that we will ellect the correct and qualified person in any of the pollitical post .The ellection will not be on the basis of how wealthy you are but on the capability basis just after facing public scrutiny.Whishing merry christmass and a happy new year to all peole who are planning to vie for any post.
we should dessist from expressing our enemity in public and halt propaganda.
I have a question for this “honourable” mbunge. Mr mbunge, what do you say to (very reputable) sources that indicate that for the better part of the last two years (2009. 2010, and 2011) you and yopur family have been trying to grab land from a widow who was bereaved in 2007 by her husband? to a point that you paid about 100 youth a total sum of 3000 kenya shillings to raid, beat, and kill her while she was on her land trying to construct a house? And these “youths” or should i say”thugs”? even burnt her Holy Bible while they were at it. What does bwana mbunge say to these allegations? (apparently irrefutable documentary evidence can be provided to support these allegations). What does “mheshimiwa” have to say about this? can his PA, or someone help us get a comment from him on this?
Next youthful, capable MP for the New Rangwe Constituency is naturally Mr George Oner. At 34 he is youthful, bright and have real development agenda to tackle youth unemployment, Enviromental Conservation, Roads and infrastructure and equitable distribution of both County and National resources. Fellow youth, let us check out!
There is poor road networking in the entire Rangwe Constituency especially Gem and kagan. There is no way one can admire for having a vehicle if he can not maintain bicycle. Once you have a bicycle, use it to develop your home and your neighbours as you plan to buy motor cycle. A newly elected can not vie for Governor in a county and promise to make changes if only the constituency he can not develop and there is CDF funds.
I think those pouring praise for our MP Mr. Martin Ogindo are misleading the electorate mark my words, i have noted incidences where our member of parliament walks with the cheque book for the CDF as a personal asset and signing cheques worth KShs.100,000 in disguise that that is his own money in fundraising ceremonies, this is an outdated method which is uncalled for in the current set up.Am appealing to the people from Rangwe to think and elect visionary leaders who can propel the constituency to the next level, Rangwe is always lagging in terms of development for the sole reason that we have not got the right people in office lets wake up and turn our constituency around. But shame is to our MP for motivating a click of the youth to talk well about him we are past that era SIR….
give praise where deserved, appreciate the little The Mp has done in the constituency,if he has to be elected again,we must tell him his areas of failure! fellow citizens never use abusive language,u hav your vote,u can use it again.I want to urge jo Rangwe to think about Oner George, may be some of our grievances may b solved. These ppl r human we must get their mistakes!
on first site he was very able, but now his very illitrate cronnies spoiled for him.
martin ogindo has been mislead by his illiterate cronnies alus
