KENYA:Thief – In – Chief (General Kaguoya)

From: KENNEDY KORIR

Unless otherwise proven the President of the Republic of KENYA and Commander -in-Chief of the Armed Forces has turned out to be the Thief – In – Chief.
From his infamous acceptance speech of 2002, the phrase “Zero tolerance to corruption” has turned out to be ‘100% tolerance to Corruption”.

Kenyans are known to forget very fast;
• John Githongo in his book “our time to eat’ says that Kibaki was very well briefed on all the goings in regard to Anglo-Leasing, he however never took any action but instead went for the messenger who finally sought exile in London.
• All the minister mentioned in the Anglo-leasing report and who resigned under massive public pressure have been returned to the cabinet
• Allegations of massive graft in the oil sector (KPA Triton etc) under the watch of the same Anglo-leasing man Kiraitu Murungi have been swept under the carpet
• The FPE and the Maize scandals I am sure are still fresh in your memories ……………look at what our president has done, Please look again!
Under Kibaki’s watch Corruption in Kenya has increased three-fold (look at the TI’s international ratings of Kenya; we are below Nigeria and between Pakistan and the Somalia neighbourhood.

Here is what I totally fail to understand; Under the above what does he mean (I am serious) ………. what does Kibaki means when he says to Kenyans, like he did recently in Gilgil that HIS GOVERNMENT HAS DOUBLE THE EFFORTS IN THE FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION

MAY BE HE IS STILL THINKING THAT PEOPLE OF KENYA ARE STILL ASLEEP. THIS TIME HE WILL ANSWER TO ALL THESE WHEN TIME COMES, UNLIKE MOI, WHO WALKED OUT AND NOBODY QUESTIONED HIS DEEDS TO THE PUBLIC.

I FIND IT RATHER INSENSIBLE TO JUST COMMENT OR GIVE BIASED COMMENTS. REMEMBER THE PM`S COMMENTS ON PROF. ONGERI, THAT HE MUST TAKE THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR WHAT THE STAFF IN HIS MINSTRY HAS DONE. SAME CASE, THE PM SHOULD TAKE RESPOSIBILITY FOR HIS PS AND PA ie. JOIN THEM AND RESIGN.

WHY APPLY DOUBLE STANDARDS? THERE IS NOWHERE ONGERI HAS BEEN MENTIONED.

Kenyans..What is the matter with you all!!!!!. Mr. Gichui, when will you stop this everybody does nonsense??????.How refreshing will it be to see … let public officials who are accused of transgressions be judged on the merits of the facts at hand!!!. As in “Show Shank Redemption”..no corruption in Kenya…all public officials are innocent !!! .Your tribe is corrupt, your party is corrupt ..my tribe and party are ethical!!!!!!!!!!!..how true?????????

Cabinet Reponsibility ON HOW THESE MINISTRIES ARE RUN!. PS in these ministries, DO NOT care if and when a few pounds, dollars are shaved off from free primary education program. The donors country and their tax payers are too rich and damn they will not account for where their donation went.

Solution, Mr. Kenyatta at the Finance Ministry vowed to pay back donors whose money were stolen in FPE schemes by the thieves and their ministries. The maize scandal..what is that????. Maize don’t get stolen in Kenya..loaded sacks of maize just walk away from the storage bins..don’t you know maize in Kenya has legs!!!!!!!!!

On the FPE, donors are left wondering if Kenya government is ready and willing to pay back the stolen money, why did they ask for this aid in the first place?????. Kenya tax payers on the other hand are left “holding the bag”… paying back the money that was never used for public good as was intended .

Mr. Gichui this is the irony of your take where everybody is in charge without taking responsibilities for the offices they hold . I wonder if Kenya has legitimate judiciary or legal system frame work where all these corrupt cases can be dully judged and evaluated?.
I may be wrong, I thought the PM of your country, Mr. Gichui did base his “suspension” of the two cabinet ministers based on sanctioned report by (Price water). For your “double standard” on the PM to hold water, there must be also a public investigation to expose the culpability of the PM himself in scandals or by his office.

Getting the country out swampy water of corruption. Both Mr. Kibaki and Mr. Odinga are NOT CAPABLE TO PULL OUT THE WEEDS AND PLANT THE GARDEN. This is why you see the weeds are pulled out and then replaced with more weeds. ( Four PS are replaced with four unvetted PS..to produce different results…Lord have mercy on Kenya poor souls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
