Pastor Absalom Birai: The sad story of my mum!

Mum was born and raised up in a very religious Catholic family. She was married to my father as a fourth wife. Mum gave birth to 12 children but knew no joy most of her life as she mourned the death of her 7 children.

Mum later converted into SDA faith and raised us up that way. Mum was the most faithful person that I ever came across. She loved her Lord so dearly and whenever praying addressed Jesus as if He was there in person. She was a woman with a big heart and
a very generous giver. She returned her tithe to the very penny.

Due to unfavorable conditions @ home, mum lived with two of my brothers far away from home for over 10 years. Recently, I decided to build mum a permanent house in deepest appreciation of her struggle and love towards us,her children. Mama was to move to her beautiful house on April 1,2010. Sadly, that will not happen.

Mum will be laid to rest on April 2 @ my father’s farm @ Bonyunyu, Nyamira, Kenya. I plan to travel to Kenya to pay my last respect to her who gave it all for us. We will dearly miss her.

I have truly been touched and humbled by lots of messages that have come in from USA, Kenya, Australia, UK, Canada and the Caribbean Island. Your messages have spoken to my heart and changed me forever. Many have written to ask how they can help the traveling and burial expenses. Here is how.
