Kenya’s cabinet ‘soaks up 80pc of the budget’

Kenya’s expanded new government will spend 80 per cent of the entire national budget on luxury vehicles, inflated salaries for ministers and general running costs, a local anti-corruption group claimed on Wednesday.

Of Kenya’s annual budget of £5.4 billion, more than £4.3 billion will go on 93 ministers and their government’s general running costs. Only £1.3 billion will be left for roads, schools and hospitals for Kenya’s 38 million people.

    HAWK ROOSTING MARCH.
If you want to know the real character of man just give him power. Not long ago we saw the president, Vice president, prime minister and deputies walking together and sharing a alaughter after passing the power sharing deal and swearing in the new cabinet. The idea goes to the large cabinet than ever before Kenya’s democracy or elsewhere in Africa. What of their salaries? They are the richest hawks rooting the poor mwananchi. Posh for posh and poor for poverty tribes in Kenya are now in the next clash. All the leaders have served ancient regimes indicted to scandals and are not better of for perfomance. Where are far from true democracy steered for development of a kenyan team and not perpetrators. Now they will again hike their salaries and make themselves the richest paid hawks in the world. What will 1.3 billion do to infrastructure of 34 million Kenyans? Like a hawk they know they have freedom to suck the common man and exploit him to the maximum. That’s democracy at work. It is not all about peace in the country but economic crisis and iving standards of the people that are manageble. If they are men of the people to develop kenya into anothe phase let them lower their salaries alike Botswana and leave talking the talk and walk the walk. Such is the true democracy of the people for the people and by the people. God bless Kenya.
