I have very high regard for education. I salute those who have worked hard to earn BA, MA, PHD, LVN, RN and many others.

My respect is even more when such individuals are humble, respect the opinion of others and even better have “the mind of Jesus”?

But from time to time, I come across people whose attitude is very sickening indeed. Such, make me dislike education. Here is an example:

Today, I happened to be at this place where I witnessed arrogance of the highest degree. A fellow worked into a store in need of passport pictures. The cashier handled him extremely well. Having asked her to retake the picture three times, he finally settled on one. The picture ready, he started paying by using credit card but changed his mind. He refused to take the pictures and demanded his money back simply because they were cheaper somewhere else.

The manager and this particular cashier did everything possible to refund the money but all in vain. They even suggested of giving him two extra pictures for free, but this too, he refused

As though he didnt care for the other customers like myself, he started spitting from his mouth all kinds of unwanted stuff. Right there he started talking of his teaching at some university abroad. Those of us without “college education� stood there in disbelief.

In the end, there was a shy of relief when he disappeared. As I stood there I wouldnt help but wonder “Is this kind of education meaningful? Who really cares how much education one has if such an individual looks down upon others? I dont. Do you?

Well, as I am about to surrender to bed, my plea is “Lord Jesus, please remove arrogance, sick attitude, and stupidity from me. Help me to become more like Jesus.� Please pray for me. Will you?
