The current resettlement of IDPs in Rift Valley is short term political bandage:

The Kenya post-election violence has been on and off from1992, 1997, 2002 and recently 2007, and therefore, it is equally important to acknowledge that the current crisis of the IDPs should not be addressed on the basis of the disputation of December 2007 election results only.

The Mt Kenya elites are immune political gymnastic cover up players since Kenya became independence, and are the main cause of the current bloodshed and land crisis in the country.

All the historical injustices and socio-economic inequity in Kenya today, is because the Late Jomo Kenyatta greedily grabbed all the Mau Mau freedom fighters ancestral land in the central province, and thus the current post-election displacement crisis is a continuation recurrence stemming from the unresolved political aggravated of land grievances.

It is well documented in Kenya historical books that the home guards led by the late Jomo Kenyatta grabbed large productive parcels of land, originally in the possession of Mau Mau fighter’s ancestors in Central Province from the Colonial masters, and thereafter rendered them landless after coming from the long gorilla war against the British. This is the primary cause of a large pool of landless Kikuyu community in Kenya.

The Late Kenyatta family and their beneficiaries must be forced to return the ancestral land they grabbed from Kikuyu, Mijikenda at the Coast and other communities that initially occupied them prior to colonialism as it was expected in the duration of the independence 1963..

In essence history will harshly judge the Grand Coalition Government if they repeat the dubious assumption that resettling of IDPs without addressing the past land injustice will bring to an end the bloodshed and Land crisis in Kenya.

It will be just a mere short term political bandage over chronic wound.

The late Jaramogi ( Mjaluo), the late Kaggia (Mkikuyu) and the late Seroney (Mkalenjin) all part way with the Late Kenyatta because of the same, and warn that Kenyans will one day demand land justice.

These great men died with dignity and with clear conscious and today we are reaping the bitter fruits of their foresight prediction.

Christian Democratic Movement of Kenya ( CDMK), urge the Kenya government and the International community to go extra mile and find a lasting solution to the land crisis in Kenya, or else the country will still remain on the brink of bloodshed come 2012 general election.
