KENYA: MPS REFUSAL TO GO ON RECESS AND SHOOT DOWN GOVERNMENT MOTINS UNLESS THE INCREMENT OF THEIR SALARY IS PASSED

From: Henry Shikokoti

My dear brothers the economy hooligans have now resorted to blackmailing the Government/Kenyans in order to further their selfish lust/greed for money. Why should the MPS, who basically are our servants hold the President read the whole Nation at ransom? We praise all those MPS who have spoken against this as the Nationalists remaining in Parliament and their steadfastness must be admired by all and particularly their Constituent for making right choices. However should the MPS be allowed to arm-twist everybody by using the law in the wrong way? Does this mean the whole Nation is helpless in this circumstance? Why do they thing they are indispensable? . Could be they are not, I am the one who is not in the know. But one thing I want to assure them of is that let them not imagine if they were to be shown the door, that Parliament can not be closed. Most probably it could very ably and firstly get very able replacements. Eminent persons who are ready to serve their electorate and are issue minded. Not greedy thugs who have respect for only their stomachs. Let them also thing of others rather themselves always. If they insist on with their black mail the President should be empowered in whichever way to sent them home even if it means using emergency laws/powers.Otherwise succumbing to this can only be compared to doing so to kidnappers. People of goodwill I call upon all of you to urge the President and be with him on whatever decisive action he takes against these MPS so that in future we do not have similar hold ups at the Parliament. At this point hoping and praying in our almighty God, in whatever way, may this massage that you take a decisive action on the MPS on strike reach you our beloved President.
