Re: Unable to fly!

Every morning and evening, I go out walking for 30 minutes to reduce ebitinya (un-wanted fats.)

Today, during my morning walk,I came a cross a bird whose ability to fly had been reduced. One of it’s wings was hanging barely attached to the body. Every time it attempted to fly, the affected wings stood on its way. I was very touched by its apparent predicament.

The more I thought about it, the more I found myself reflecting on the following:

1.Birds are supposed to fly
2.”An enemy” had reduced the ability of this bird to fly for a moment, if not foever.
3.God’s children have been reduced to non-committal/serious disciples by the evil one.He has slowly but surely taken us away from following “thus says the Lord.” It seems as if many, if not all of us, have had our wings cut off so that we are totally unable to lift Him high. We are unable to do those things that we are supposed to do: Why not take some stock!
*How many of God’s children read the word daily?
*How many of us pray for our family members, others, and ourselves daily?
*How many love God’children?
*How many are as much faithful in attending to religious matters as we are in other projects!
*How many of us love our God so much that we can die for our faith?

Well, while the poor bird might not be able to fly once more, you and I have the opportunity to connect to our good Lord for a better mission on earth.

I am willing to pick up from where I failed my Lord and Savior. How about you my friend?

Just a thought
