11th September 2010.
In the company of the Director Environment at the City Council of Nairobi, we met the leadership of the Eastleigh Business District Association today and we had very positive engagement.
From the CCNSET, I was joined by Ms Petronila Nafula while the EBDA was led by Mr. Hussein M Haji- the Vice Chairman EBDA, Mr. Abdullah Shariff- the Secretary EBDA, Mr. Mohamed Sharif, Mr. Abdullah Mohamed and Mr. Omar Yussuf- all members of EBDA.
Amongst the other items that we discussed was the state of Eastleigh, the need to improve on service delivery, the need to enjoin the residents in the same and that on 18th September, we will all join hands in cleaning Eastleigh.
This was a new beginning and as CCNSET, we are inviting the residents of Nairobi to join hands and take a proactive role in the fight against environmental degradation, in the fight against corruption and in demanding service delivery.
We are appealing to all the residents of Nairobi and Kenyans at large to become partners in the provision of services all across Kenya.
This is a new beginning and we must recommend the new Director Environment at the City Council of Nairobi for taking such a pro active approach to addressing the menacing problem of garbage in Nairobi.
We promise to give her all our support and to invite all residents to support her in her endeavors to make Nairobi the Green City in the Sun. We also want to thank the members of the Eastleigh Business District Association for their promise that they are ready to work with the City Council of Nairobi, the CCNSET and all Friends of Nairobi who are keen in making a difference.
We also made a visit to the Dandora Dumping Site and we want to invite the residents of Nairobi to join hands with the City Council of Nairobi now that the Cabinet has given approval to the Solid Waste Management Bill. Let us all join hands and make a difference.
Thank you so much and please join us on 18th September 2010 as we join hands in cleaning Eastleigh.
Peace and blessings,

Odhiambo is the current chairman to the Stakeholders Evaluation Team on Performance Contract and Rapid Results Initiative at the City Council of Nairobi- CCNSET—
Its very sad that a team like yours would want to cash on non-existing projects.first of all no cleaning happened in Easleigh on 18th September as alleged by your organization. As a resident of Easleigh , i can categorically confirm that all your org did was to place a big banner near former KBS garage.Just that!
Its time such org shape up or ship out.We will not allow anyone to do such injustice to the society,in fact on the said cleaning day, nothing happened where you placed the banner. Is this fair in this age? we are on the look out for such org.
