Why this?

Thanks Carol for alerting us.

Ladies and Gentlemen, this could be one of us or our sister/mother–what can we do to help this situation? I know there are thousands like her and we are praying–but my question is very specific to this case for now (it has to be one-at-a-time).

I am looking for practical solutions for the moment –other issues like compensation from the government (whenever that can be feasible is for later but for now the woman has to survive even to think of that future).  Please let’s not wait until we have 10+ more orphans (if the pressure prooves too much for her and she collupses) in our hands to act.  I know each one of you has ideas that combined together might even proove to be a pilot case for resettling those who opt to go back to their ‘ancestral homes’

Carol (or anyone in the above list of addresses) if you are in Kenya–could you find out from the source of this article, how the woman, the reverend or the women’s group mentioned in the case can be contacted to find out the following:
Can the elders/locational chief/administration in this location or area appeal to the elders to allow prayer over the land for a building for this woman should a Church group or good samaritans be willing to help her?  OR

Can we put our heads together those who are blessed a little more than this lady materially–particularly those who are believers to exercise our faith and help her get a plot at Siaya and help her built –she seems to be quite industrious and entrepreneurial and seems to have taught her kids survival–it appears like she might not disappoint to invest in her. OR

Why shouldn’t the Siaya district board/ or area MP use this opportunity to help show what development is all about through this lady’s case?  She can ‘transfer’ some of her entrepreneurial drive and energies into Siaya if we don’t ‘heap more stones’ over her head as we will be doing if we do nothing about her case.

In your court—-but I’ll be checking with you as soon as I can lift my head out of this heap of paperwork and housework before me,

  Till later,
  Lucy.

The aftermath has just started to work on those who survided,
Anyway, as we preach peace, it should also be a lesson to us however bitter it is,
  Peace be with you!
