Ahinya Ahinya

Mzee its sometime ago we interacted , mos kuom gik ma ose timore ni. Nyasaye kende. pod mana kanyakla.

Jaduong i take off my hat for you and am very grateful that you touch these very issues the are challenging our community.
Hope we can interact more on regular basis touching empowering our community.

I totally agree with you that development in Luo Nyanza is very poor. We shouldn’t only blame the government.

For example the fish industry today is totally dominated by other regions though we have a Lake, Other regions have realized the way of making money through fish ponds which today dominates the market…..

Why isn’t any politician talking about Lake Victoria where as pple even wash their cars and hence pollute the water. Tilapia are being eaten up by Nile Perch which Chinese came with to destroy and create their own market. Do we even have a fishing refinery around lake Victoria and its environ.

The problem does not only lie with our politicians but also with our own mentality that the State is going to help us or bail us out. The people from Central province were also neglected by the Kanu regime but they turned to small scale business where they reinvest profits in their own communities…

Who own domoinates the matatu industry in Nyanza? Hotel business. Its time we wake up….

Our mentality should be that we can only empower ourselves economically by investing the money in the rural areas in our community. Instead of investing in the Nairobi etc.

Now that resources have been found in southern nyanza how we we make sure that the profits trickle down to the common man on the ground….We see the example of Congo, Sudan and Nigeria which are all endowed with resources and riches but still remain poor…. This are issues which the new constitution doesn’t address….

Well we one can if we change our attitudes….Charity starts at home…. South Nyanza dwaro University….

If you have the chance to Speak to Honourable Orwa Ojodeh well tell him that Diaspora are really watching what is happening on the ground and personally i support him 110% on his development issues and am ready to support him with organizations who support development oriented issues…..

Regards
